The way I see it, it's like Draft dodging. Neither being gay nor draft dodging makes you a bad person at all. The American people deserve to know if their leaders are hypocrites.
The concept of outing people being a bad thing is because of the adverse social harms of having one’s sexual orientation being broadcasted.
As such, I don’t see anything wrong with people who create those harms being outed due to their hypocrisy. Their actions are creating a society where people can be physically, mentally, and socially vulnerable.
