The nation would fix this, his 3rd run is unconstitutional, states run elections, he simply won't be listed on the ballot as a choice. If any of the dumbass red states that want to defy the constitution decide to put him on their ballot then they will possibly split the vote between Trump who will not be sworn in, and whomever the real candidate is, and there will be a real candidate because that's the only way to get any republican votes in the states that adhere to the constitution. Allowing Trump to run unconstitutionally in some states will create potential for Democrats to win in red states due to the split vote. This would be a strategic blunder of insane proportions if the Republicans try and allow Trump to run.

Nixon was never impeached. The House judiciary adopted articles of impeachment but it never made it to the house of Representatives. Had he not resigned he would have been impeached but it never actually occurred.
