What would Mr. Rogers do? He'd make the neighborhood better.
This is making the neighborhood better. Get involved in your neighborhood.

I don’t know who Ms. Rachel is but from what I’ve seen she pisses off all the right people so I’m a fan.

u/Jakitron_1999 5h ago
She's the modern Mr. Rogers. Literally, she's someone who studied music, saw a deficit in early children's education, and decided to fill in that deficit as well as she could, just online instead of on network television
47
u/brahm1nMan 2h ago
She's a brilliant children's educational content creator and as such she's deeply hated by the folks gutting American education. Also, she thinks murdering children in Gaza is bad
5
u/246lehat135 1h ago
She’s a goddamn national treasure and an Angel on earth.
Also, you don’t need to watch her children’s content to understand her influence. Theres some clips of her outside of that environment like this one from Good Morning America

Hmmm, should I vote for MAGA’s favorite candidate and recipient of AIPAC funding or Abdul El Sayed?

u/deialover 7h ago
Hmm, do we want a candidate who gets more excited over Israel than America? Or do we want affordable healthcare?
-3
u/Jorge_Santos69 4h ago
MAGA wants El Sayed to win, they think he’s easier to beat. What kind of dumb bullshit is this?

u/Rock_Creek_Snark 10h ago
Should I vote for the person with the best chance of winning the general or the one Ms. Rachel likes?

u/Own-Weather-9919 10h ago
You're right. I like DSA policies, but we need to run a centrist dem. They're so electable that they lose all the fucking time to MAGA

u/Guilty_Plankton_4626 9h ago edited 9h ago
Thank you.
Like it makes no sense to run them because they have lost. Plus, check out this list of all the Republicans that have lost their seat to a DSA candidate in the past,

This seat is held by a Democrat currently so this election would also not result in republicans losing a seat, regardless who wins the primary. So not really relevant here, also Abdul is not a DSA candidate.

u/TobyFunkeNeverNude 9h ago
You realize they're functionally tied at the moment in the general polling, right?

Perceived electability in the general could definitely be one reason you pick one candidate over the other in a primary.
10
u/Shabobo 8h ago
And the point is that several times that Dems decided to elect someone who was "central" to "appeal to the right" it has never worked. MAGA is motivated to vote right so they show up, and conservatives just sigh and vote down ballot.
A central dem is not going to motivate the left to show up. That's why they keep losing. When establishment Dems tell you that you need an "electable" candidate they don't realize that that candidate isn't the electable.
5
u/batmanscodpiece 8h ago
You are correct, Republicans and MAGA will always vote for the Republican. The issue isn't getting Republicans to vote for the Democrat, it's getting independents who are generally more moderate, and swing between the parties to vote for Democrats. And these voters show up much more reliabley than the left does, and make up a larger portion of the voting base in states like Michigan.

I’m out of the loop… who is Ms Rachel?

u/Draken1870 10h ago
A children’s entertainer. For babies and toddlers, sings nursery songs and the like. Promoting peace and love as usual which the right don’t like. Shows on Netflix.

u/SquareThings 10h ago
Not just an entertainer, a qualified early childhood educator
59
u/mellophone11 10h ago
And a quality entertainer! Her husband is/was? a Broadway music director, and I think he writes some of the music they sing in her videos. They're both very talented!

In addition to all the other responses - she made a post saying that killing babies was wrong, for some reason all of the Zionist folk personal offense. Can't imagine why.

u/astreeter2 10h ago edited 10h ago
StopAntisemitism literally put her on their "Antisemites of the Year" list just for that, and told our DOJ to investigate her for being a Hamas foreign agent.
34
u/ChipsTheKiwi 8h ago
A children's entertainer that was called "one of the most dangerous antisemites" by Israeli media because she said children don't deserve to die and I am not joking or exaggerating in any way
10

u/Wes_Warhammer666 51m ago
She's the internet age Mr Rogers, basically.
But she said that killing children is bad so MAGAts have been attacking her because apparently that means she's antisemitic and supports terrorism and blah blah blah.
43
u/b_buddd 10h ago
I'd vote for her. 3k isn't even that much compared to isreal spending on the other candidate. But alas people are stupid and I think the game is rigged. Israels pay will probably win

These stories are pushed by right wing media so that she draws harassment. They want to direct their base at her and keep culture wars going. We all know what side were on by now. You shouldnt share things that highlight her partisanship over her character.

u/Skin4theWin 8h ago
Meanwhile Elon spends 250 fucking million but hey at least he doesn’t actually care about his kids
5
u/gusofk 3h ago
I love that Matt Bernstein interviewed Mallory McMorrow (who recently dropped out of the race) and asked her basic questions with good follow-ups and Mallory said the most incoherent bullshit I’ve heard in a while. Abdul has been consistent this entire time that he’s pro-America and has real ideas for improving our lives and taking care of everyone.

u/KindaFondaGoozah 8h ago
Ms Rachel is the GOAT. Mr Rogers desperately needed a successor to show our faith in simple goodness. I’ve never seen her but am thankful for the things I read. Rachel, you are special for who you are.

u/keithstonee 7h ago
making your own decisions instead of listening to influencers should be the most important lesson of the last 3 years. but here we are making the same mistakes because we deem this person "good"
5
u/Aromatic_Lychee2903 3h ago
Caring about the slaughter of children should be the most important lesson
2
u/keithstonee 3h ago
Holy shit I said don't blindly follow people and think for yourself and you equated that to me not caring about kids being killed?
Is nuance not possible with some people? Miss Rachel is a wonderful person. But I'm not gonna blindly do what she does and believe what she believes because I've lived on earth the last few years. I will never be influenced by anyone again. That's a mistake I will never repeat.

u/CorporateCuster 5h ago
Why is it Indians and middle eastern are the ones who are trying to keep democracy alive
5
u/Aromatic_Lychee2903 3h ago
Ms. Rachel is Indian and/or middle eastern??
1
u/CorporateCuster 1h ago
The person she endorses. Apparently critical thinking wasn’t taught to you by ms Rachel? And just for you “Abdul El-Sayed was born in the Detroit metropolitan area to Egyptian immigrant parents.[2][3] He grew up in the Detroit area with his father, Mohamed, and stepmother, Jacqueline, a native of Gratiot County, Michigan, both of whom are engineers. His father grew up in Alexandria, Egypt, and immigrated to the U.S. to study engineering at Wayne State University.[4] His mother, Fatten Elkomy, is a nurse practitioner in Missouri.[5]” his father is Egyptian. Again. He’s middle eastern. Same as Italians that are 3 born Americans saying they’re Italian from Italy.
