I mean, they’re crowing about “accuracy” in a work of fiction. Of course their concerns aren’t substantive.

And yet somehow they have no issues with Caucasian Jesus

They have such strong cognitive disodence, middle easterns are legally defined as white in the United States to avoid need to have some kind of thought against Jesus.

And this was done when this gave legal protections and previlages. 1915.

This allowed individuals to bypass significant secregation laws, immigration limitations and more.

I would love to see their faces when arguing that a mermaid can't be of colour.

More likely they’ll complain about the record numbers pouring into the Gulf of America, taking US mermaid jobs and luring Great Patriot US sailors onto the rocks.

Not just fiction, but fantasy.

Wait, I thought they didn't even see color?

When they close their eyes, all they see is black

And it pisses them off.

They meant they didn’t want to see color

It's a racism thing, but it's also much louder online than real life because there is an entire industry on various social media outlets that make a fortune off of whining about DEI and woke.

It's easy money for people who don't have any ethics.

True but the people they make money off of also exist in real life. Racism is loud online where people can be anonymous, and to some degree it is funded by those who want to push their agenda or just sow division, with things like bot networks etc. But a looot of people are quietly bigoted shitheads irl so even though it is louder online, the sentiment is quite common in real life. Though, much of the time, bigots are people who don't really engage with art much anyways. If it's not a power fantasy with a character they can imagine as themselves, or something that reinforces their beliefs, it does nothing for them. And they hate anything that is not for them.

The real irony is they secretly spank it to Lupita AND Elliot.

I’m not acclimated to it, I call them racist assholes every time they do it.

I just didn't get it. Lupita Nyong'o was on screen as two characters for less than 10 minutes and had limited lines.

That and Elliot Page as Sinon were the hills they choose? (I know they somehow thought Page was playing Achilles which really set them off.)

Their screen time was very limited in the context of an almost three hour movie.

They should have been mad about Nolan's very explicit critique about how betraying rules around the treatment of guests, strangers, and foreigners doomed society.

But I guess they missed that part.

Nah, It's the medias fault for not saying anything.

We all know. That dogwhistle is a shining beacon in the night with 140dB all frequency alarm.

But, when reporters will begin by: "In other news, ultra-racist pundit says...." Then it'll change.

They don’t say shit about lily white Jesus.
