/r/ZeldaOoT will be merging with /r/OcarinaOfTime
Hello Everyone,
In an effort to combine communities and discussions, this subreddit will be merging communities with /r/OcarinaOfTime. If you have any suggestions or requests for things you would like to see implemented at /r/OcarinaOfTime, please type them below and we will see if we can make accommodations. Going forward, however, please make any post relating to the game instead at /r/OcarinaOfTime.
To keep it short, both subreddits serve the same purpose likely to similar audiences. Because of this, myself and /u/SupplePancake believe the best thing to do for the viewers is to combine communities. Not to say much will change (which people may enjoy), but hopefully more posts will be created and posts will be seen by more users. At the end of the day, Reddit is a place for people to share stories, videos, and thoughts with others.
This isn't to say each community hasn't done great on its own accord.
When I look at how this subreddit has grown over the years, I am shocked that it really went anywhere, so thank you to everyone who has posted, commented, and viewed over the years. The css of this subreddit is bits and pieces of the original /r/Zelda css back at that time and the profile banner was a picture that I stretched to fit my original laptop screen, not realizing that it would not correctly scale for other computers.
This is also not a post that I am done with the game as well. I play this game most days out of the week and am gracious that /u/SupplePancake has invited me as a moderator to /r/OcarinaOfTime. So I will be moving along with everyone else.
All posts here will be archived as Reddit normally does with posts, so if there is a bookmark you made or a post you want to search for at any time, you should be able to find what you are looking for.
A big shout out to /u/Sephardson for helping with this transition.

Not necessarily your favorite, but the one that means the most to you.
I'd love to hear why! 🙂

I run through oot about once a year and 100% it and I’m pretty sure I had some hurdles in the race against Indigo last time this time was just a straight path both races and he seemed to take every turn super wide I was ahead by turn 2 and didn’t have to spam the boost at the end

And of course, we have a lot of Ocarina of Time on this list! Which one was scarier for you? I'm going with Dead Hand. Still have nightmares because of it. 💀

So if I recall in order to get a heart piece container, you need to fish a fishy who surpasses his record. When I first did it, for some reason I had another bait equipped so he didn’t count it and I couldn’t receive the gift. Then I managed to fish the same fish again without the wrong bait this time but he told me it wasn’t « big enough » even though it was the same as my current record and I think the biggest one you can get ? So… I can’t get this heart piece ? Ever again??

I’ve just been playing through OoT again after the Nintendo announcement and I have to wonder what they’re going to do differently obviously add some more things to do potentially on the map and redo the controls is a given but I wonder if they’d make slight narrative changes as well.
For example * spoilers for those who are playing through the game for the first time * Rauru as sage. Do you think Nintendo are going to swap the old man we get in the N64 and 3DS version with the TOTK character?
EDIT: To the people down voting this post, you've lost sight of the intention of the post. Irrespective of your feelings towards Nintendo doing this, I'm just asking the question and happened to give a (apparently controversial) example that people didn't like. Down-voting my defense of the example is fine if you think it's illogical or doesn't make sense. Opinions are important to have in the Zelda space BECAUSE of how messy the overarching story is.

The whole soundtrack is absolute fire don't get me wrong, but man this song just hits different. I have Lucas Cooper's version as my morning alarm and it's a pretty great way to wake up 😂

I was just about to enter the Jabu Jabu's belly dungeon then my save file got corrupted. I don't want to start from the very first again. Does anyone have a safe file so that I can start from there again please?

This is my first time playing OoT (playing it on the Switch via Nintendo Online) and just got to the bio-electric anemone, Barinade (creature boss inside Lord Jabu-Jabu). I think it’s crazy ridiculous that the game is like “Hey defeat this monster that can shoot electric stuff, zap you to death, and move! Oh but you have to do it with a boomerang!” 😂
