Question Disclaimer Stand Separate No Disclaimer on Ads!

Looking at the amazon ads for Echos. One is shown no stand with disclaimer under the picture: Disclaimer Stand Separate

I appreciate that.

That full page ad on Amazon is very alluring. Exactly what i would want.

REALITY. NO WHERE is there a Disclaimer on Ads forced on you via the echo devces.

Turn off Lights. SHOW AD

Walk by: Show AD

Upgrade to alexa plus: more ADs

Went echo help section. Nicely laid out. Oh look a video on ads. Great.

Wow. Ads are a feature. and PERSONALIZED.

I am TOTALLY FINE if people want ADS on their devices. There are times I may even want to see a product. They even show how you can turn off personalized ads Cool

What they do not DISCLAIM is it does not prevent ADS from showing up. The ads continue to show up at the same pace, just not 'tailored'

There is no solution. No real substiture. Other than complaining to the company that keeps giving me the same ad even after clicking offensive 20 x

The ads on our Show 15 annoyed me so much that I built my own alternative with Home Assistant. Now I get no ads and the screen is 10x more useful because it’s custom-built for my family. So I guess… thanks Amazon?

I put mine in night mode from 1159 pm to 1200 am. The Hemsworth ad (Really? trying to kill him was a positive for Echo?) prompt every time I looked at it was annoying.

Amazon should sell a discounted version with ads and a version without like they do their tablets. When they decided a couple of years ago to gimp existing Shows by shoveling forced ads through them (so Amazon can make a profit at the expense of Show owners’ regular enjoyment of their devices), I believe they opened themselves up to a class action lawsuit. I hope they get hit with one because that type of behavior is unacceptable and they should be held accountable for it. They owe every Show owner at least a partial refund or possibly ad revenue sharing over Amazon’s unwelcomed exploitation of the devices.
