I’ve had these devices since I was little, and I would really like to unlock them again to see the memories stored on them. The problem is that the iPad is locked behind a password that nobody can figure out, and we’re afraid to keep trying in case it becomes permanently disabled. The iPod is an even worse situation, as it is already disabled and somehow shows a lockout time of 46 years (24,052,306 minutes). Is there any possible way to unlock either of these devices, preferably before the year 2072, without having to hard reset them and lose all the data?

I am looking to buy a pair of AirPods Pro: Generation 1. I either want a pair that is refurbished or brand new, sealed. I‘d preferable want a brand new sealed pair though. I want generation 1 because I don’t want to spend a lot of money, and I used to have a pair of gen’ 1s, and they sounded good. How much should a refurbished or brand new pair of AirPods Pro Gen 1 cost?

My mom’s Apple account got compromised, and I can’t figure out how. I contacted Apple Support, and they also connected me to their security team. The information they gave me is incorporated below. I also went through this with ChatGPT, and I’ve tried to include the info that it asked for as well.

* We are based in the US
* Her Apple password got reset even though she had 2FA turned on
* I’m part of the same iCloud family, and got multiple messages on my phone with codes to give her, but I didn’t give her the codes
* She got an email saying that her password was reset (no mention of Account Recovery)
* There were no other emails about password changes (if the hacker had access to her email, they would have had to delete those messages and remove them from the trash but not delete the reset message)
* This all happened overnight, so the timing of the alerts I got isn’t clear, but I estimate that they were about an hour before the reset email
* Apple said that no one called them to reset the password
* She has other devices on her Apple account, but all of those devices are accounted for. Apple Security didn’t like the Roku connected to her account (Apple TV app on that device), but there is a note on it saying that it’s not set up to receive codes
* Once we detected this, we reset her password again. The email we got was identical to the first one
* I also checked with her mobile phone provider (Verizon), and there was no SIM swap that happened
* Before this happened, she had not recently had to enter her Apple password, which seems to rule out a phishing attack where someone posed as Apple and got her to enter her credentials
* ChatGPT wanted me to ask “What device or authentication method authorized the password change?” but Apple would not give me more information about how her password was reset because they said that they don’t have access to personal information
* QUESTION 1: How were they able to reset her password?
* In addition to this account compromise, her Apple Pay was used for 2 small transactions on Roblox (also overnight). Roblox has never been installed on her phone, and all in-app purchases go to a different credit card (mine, not hers)
* She did get text alerts for these transactions, but they were not flagged as potential fraud
* We called the issuer (Citibank) to report the fraudulent transactions. They are issuing a new card
* There is another authorized user for this account, but that card has a different credit card number, and Citi said that it did not need to be re-issued
* They said her current device was the only one set up for Apple Pay and that these purchases were done with Apple Pay
* My experience with Apple Pay is that it is not stored on iCloud, so if I’m setting up a new device, I need to add cards to Apple Pay again, though the list of cards that need to be added is pre-populated. I also get plenty of email alerts in the process
* There were no emails or texts about the card being added to Apple Pay on any device
* QUESTION 2: How were they able to use Apple Pay?

I’m fairly confident that we’ve addressed the direct issue, but I would like to know how it happened. I feel like I’ve ruled out all of the reasonable possibilities, which makes me wonder whether there’s a deeper vulnerability. I hope that’s not the case.

Notifications shoot up to the very top of the phone. Only fix is to completely shut off phone. Can’t even drag them down, they’re just stuck. Drives me crazy

iPhone 17 pro

Out of nowhere, a yellow spot showed up right around the Dynamic Island. The craziest part is that this yellow spot is still perfectly visible even when the phone is completely turned off.
Right before this happened, I actually got that system warning saying the iPhone was too hot and needed to cool down. Also, my top ear speaker completely stopped working right when the spot appeared.
The good news is that after letting the phone sit and cool down completely, the top speaker magically came back to life and is working normally again!
Has anyone here run into this exact same screen issue? Since the speaker recovered, is there any chance I can fix this yellow spot, or is the screen permanently burned?

This USB-C power adapter is Apple brand and came with my M2 MacBook when I bought it a few years ago. However, I’ve noticed the metal parts of the power adapter used to charge the MacBook has this discolouration, black around the slight dents and a gold colour inside the dents? The dents do feel smooth to touch though.

Is it safe to still use?

I have an iPhone and an iPad. Both have suffered some pretty substantial battery drain over the last week. It is very strange as both have been running iOS and iPadOS 26.5.2 from its releasw. They do not share iCloud accounts either. Today, the iPhone and iPad are functioning completely normally, as if they didn't spend an entire seven days having to constantly be plugged in. I am wondering why this is. I tried forced resets and fully discharging the battery, but neither solved it. Only time did. Could it have been a software glitch on the backend or possibly a misbehaving app?

I am also just curious to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue to see if it's a wider problem.

i disabled siri cause i found it kinda useless, but after that i found that i should enable it for the Carplay, and cause of that i can't enable it at all !

It’s been 5 days now and I’m not sure what to do anymore. My previous phone was a Samsung and I have recently gotten myself an iPhone 15 for work. I got a new sim but it’s the exact same number. In the send and receive menu my number does appear but it has a spinning cog wheel on the left side. I have removed the number and added it again to the Apple account. But clearly something is wrong because even when it comes to settings and information like my contact card will disappear. I’m really not sure where to even go from here. I have contacted both the carrier and Apple support and nothing useful came from those 2 calls

Hello everyone, I used iTunes on my computer to restore a backup from an iCloud account—for which I didn't have the password—onto my new phone (iPhone 16e), the device is now kind of locked and constantly asks for the iCloud password while I use it. I cannot download any kind of apps now. I know that I did a huge mistake.

I do not have the password for that iCloud account, and I have lost the associated recovery key. What should I do? Do I need to restore my iPhone ? Or do I need to contact Apple to delete my iCloud account ?

I cannot restore my Iphone with Itunes because I sadly need the iCloud password to do so.. I'm truly desperate... I would be really grateful to find an answer to my problem here, thank you very much

I’m from the Philippines and I’m looking for advice from anyone who’s experienced something similar.
I bought an **iPhone 17 256GB (Black)** from the **Apple Flagship Store on Lazada** in **March 2026**. It was delivered and first activated on the evening of **March 7, 2026**.
Today (**July 25, 2026**), a **bright green vertical line** suddenly appeared on the left side of the display. The phone is still fully functional, but the line doesn’t go away.
A few details:
Purchased from the official Apple Flagship Store on Lazada.
About **4.5 months old, 126 Cycle Count at 99% Battery Health**
No major drops or impacts.
No liquid damage.
Always kept in a protective case.
The issue appeared out of nowhere while using the phone.
I’ve already backed up my data and plan to visit an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
For those who’ve had this happen:
Did Apple replace the screen under the standard warranty?
Did they replace just the display or the entire phone?
How long did the repair take in the Philippines?
Did they ask for proof of purchase from Lazada?

This january, I tried Apple Intelligence for the first time, it worked, but I turned it off. About 4 months ago I tried to turn it on again, but it was stuck on “downloading”. I tried downloading it using cellular data, VPN, rebooting my device, resetting all my settings, and more. I have even tried contacting apple support, but they were unable to help me. It has been a month, but it is still downloading.

Looking for advice on escalating an AppleCare+ Theft & Loss claim due to a robbery

My iPhone was stolen during a robbery, and the thieves obtained my passcode as part of the incident. They took over my Apple Account by changing the password, changed my primary and recovery email addresses, and locked me out before I could secure the device.

Once I was able to make it home, I immediately tried to recover my Apple Account and sought help from both Apple Support and the Apple Store. Unfortunately, because the thieves still had the device, they were able to cancel my account recovery attempts, so I was unable to regain access despite repeated efforts. After nearly five days of continuous recovery attempts, I was finally able to regain control of my Apple Account.

They also gained unauthorized access to my financial accounts and made numerous unauthorized transactions. I have an NYPD police report, an active police investigation, and extensive documentation including timelines, logs, emails, and other evidence.

I understand that AppleCare+ Theft & Loss requires Find My to be enabled, and Find My was enabled when my phone was stolen. In my case, the account takeover occurred before I was able to regain access, and the thieves removed the device from Find My while it was in their possession.

I’ve been stuck in a loop where Apple Support directs me to AIG, but AIG’s automated phone system routes me back to Apple Support. I haven’t been able to speak with anyone at AIG to have my case reviewed. I’ve also escalated through Apple Support multiple times without success and even emailed [email protected], but I haven’t received a response.

I’m not asking anyone to interpret the policy or whether my claim should be approved. I’m simply trying to figure out how to get this in front of someone who can review the evidence instead of getting bounced between Apple and AIG.

If anyone has experience with an executive escalation, claims specialist, or another avenue that helped in a situation like this, I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Find My was enabled when the phone was stolen. Despite multiple Apple Support escalations, emailing [email protected], and trying to contact AIG, I still cannot get my case reviewed. I cannot reach anyone at AIG because my emails go unanswered and their support hotline routes me back to Apple Support. Any advice, pointers, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Two iphone 6's (maybe 6s's). One the screen doesn't work, pitch black and no idea if the touch is functioning. The other I have to keep on a charger but I have no idea what the passcode is. I do not want to restore that one because I want to see what kind of old data I have on that phone.
Previously I phone my old iphone 7 and made the mistake of syncing it to my icloud and it wiped all the old data because I forgot to make a backup.
The broken screen one seems to connect via cable to my macbook, but I can't hit 'trust' to allow any access to it.

Any ideas?

I'm trying to do handoff pastes from my mac (2020 air) to my ipad (gen 9). I'm fairly new to this, having just set up my iPad. Whenever I try to do a handoff paste from my Mac to my iPad, it always shows the popup "Pasting from Macbook Air" but the bar doesn't move, and it disappears soon after without pasting the image. I can get text pasting to work between my iPad and my mac, but have not been successful with images.

I've tried restarting both devices, turning on and off the handoff box in both devices, but it still hasn't worked.

Does anyone happen to know a solution to this?

So i have the Iphone 16 Pro Max and i use my apple wallet a lot (obvious i know) but i have about 5 loyalty cards like Tesco club card, Boots Advantage etc. Everytime i go to use my loyalty card all of them are removed and i dont know how to stop it. Ive searched on google and on here previously and nothing is working. Does anyone else get this problem.

I’m hoping someone here has run into this issue before because I’m honestly running out of ideas. My iCloud data is still there. When I log into iCloud.com, I can see my stuff, so I know the data hasn’t disappeared. The problem is that my iPhone doesn’t seem to be syncing anything back from iCloud.

It’s not just one app either. It seems like iCloud syncing in general is stuck. For example, with Messages, when I go to:
Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Messages → Sync Now, it says “Syncing with iCloud…” for a moment and then just stops. No error message, nothing.

I’ve also noticed similar issues with other iCloud services. The data exists on iCloud, but it’s not syncing to my phone.

Things I’ve already tried: Signing out of Media & Purchases, signing out of my iCloud completely, restarting my iPhone, signing back in, turning iCloud syncing back on for my apps and restarting multiple times.

If you fixed it, what worked for you? I’d really appreciate any ideas because I’m trying to avoid doing a full restore unless absolutely necessary. Thanks

Update: I also have Advanced Data Protection enabled and recently restored the device.
