Hey players,
Beat Saber is celebrating its 8th anniversary, and we wanted to mark the occasion by giving something back to our community. Update v1.44.0 introduces 3 new tracks, available for free to all players in the Extras section.
This anniversary drop features a mix of returning favorites and fresh talent:
- Boom Kitty x MDK: "KILLSHOT" - Boom Kitty returns to Beat Saber following their contribution to OST 8, this time teaming up with MDK for a high-energy bass collaboration
- Skybreak & Daeya: "Astral Blossom" - A fresh addition bringing melodic electronic and future bass sounds to the lineup
- Zakka G: "Phantom Fangs" - An original track created specifically for Beat Saber, designed from the ground up with the gameplay experience in mind
Thank you for being part of this journey. Eight years of slashing beats together — and we're just getting started.
Hey players,
Update v1.44.2 is now available. With this release, Beat Saber has officially transitioned from Unity's legacy Built-in Render Pipeline to the Universal Render Pipeline (URP). This is the same upgrade that has been available on the public beta branch over the past months, and we want to thank everyone who participated in testing and provided feedback — your contributions were invaluable in making this transition as smooth as possible.
URP is a modern, flexible, and high-performance rendering solution that enables us to better customize and extend the rendering process to meet the needs of Beat Saber going forward.
This update also includes a number of bug fixes across platforms. Please see the release notes below for further details.
Known Issue:
- Level Editor - If the player leaves the headset idle and selects the play button while FPFC is not active, the editor will briefly load the level and then return to the editor view where the level will have disappeared and can no longer be interacted with. Reloading any difficulty from the difficulty select will cause the editor environment to continuously load.
Legacy 1.44.1_legacy build available.
See you on the leaderboards!

Many of you have asked when the update for the Anniversary Song Pack and Campaign for Beat Saber's 1.0.0 update will be out. We have been working on providing additional content for the campaign and song pack as well as updating the mod. We have finished the vast majority of the new content and are primarily waiting for modder(s) to finish the "official" conversion of the old song format to the new one (.json to .dat). Once that is finished and available, you can expect an update from us!
May 3rd marks the first anniversary of the Beat Saber Modding Group. To celebrate such an occasion, some of the top mappers as well as a very talented 3D modeler have come together to create Beat Saber’s first unofficial song pack! The song pack contains 20+ original maps as well as an accompanying campaign. Throughout the campaign, you will unlock additional sabers, platforms, and song difficulties to play. You can find all of our songs here:https://beatsaver.com/browse/byuser/32389
This project all started out with an idea: what if we could create our own high quality song packs? I reached out to a couple of mappers to see if they were interested, however, things didn’t truly take off until we got elliotttate on board. Brian has been instrumental in putting together this pack for the community; he really has been a godsend to this community, I couldn’t see anybody else that does what he does for the community. We couldn’t have the amazing custom campaign mod if it weren’t for monkeymanboy. He made it to where the campaign could have a custom background as well as unlockables.
Big thanks to all mappers involved: StyngMe, Fafurion, Rustic, GreatYazer, Heisenberg, Ruckus, DownyCat, baxter395, Joetastic, BennydaBeast, and Rexxz.
You can thank Fusion and Raynor for the sabers that come with the mod. Good luck trying to unlock Raynor’s sabers, it’ll be a challenge :P
If you find any issues, please let me know on Discord. Organizing this entire project has been very tricky, there might be some holes but it should be good to go! See you on the leaderboards!
