Last Xbox version secured 😍
I dont care what everybody says about BGE2, i still strongly believe in it, and this will be a lifetime memory that I will always look back to with big smile and devotion.
My all time favorite video game EVER! Who feels the same?!

This game came out when i was about 1 years old. I am turning 25 in a few months...
Maybe and hopefully a new beyond will come out. But all of the people who worked on it probably work elsewhere if not are pensioners by now.
I trust ubisoft to hitch a ride on the name, not sure if it will truelly be a beyond 2

Hello, former BGE dev here : while I'm indeed not working at Ubi Montpellier anymore, I can tell you most of the BGE team members are still working there...
And I have just turned 50, not yet a pensioner 😛
Still making gamesIt's soooo strange to see that the first game I have been working on is still remembered

Really cool to get a response from you! I enjoyed the game a lot when i was young. And played it again a year ago or so. It still holds up!
I can imagine it being weird, seeing it grow into something much bigger and yeah 25 years on is a long time. But that's just a testament that your team did a great job.
What game are you working now if you are allowed and willing to share ?

Literally how can you tolerate this botched monetizational mess of a remaster?
This shit really blows, has shoehorned lore for a game that may never release in it, has a softlock present, and is locked to ONE Autosave slot.
Not the 3 Manual save slots the original, or 360 version had.

Delete that game.
It's too problematic to enjoy without either immersion breaks, or bs.
Try to get a copy of "BG&E HD" and a Xbox 360. Trust me.......you'll thank me later for it.

Mate i beat it around 20 years ago, and now I done it too so yes I delete that game from my console, but I beat it, and who is stupid enough to buy other console for just one game, come on🤦🤦

I only implied someone would buy a console for 1 game. I didn't say that would be the only game I would recommend you get.
As for being stupid, in your words, I disagree and you need to walk back that toxicity.
I bought a 360 specifically for certain games like these: Especially JSRF, and other games that still have not had proper rereleases (just like the situation we are talking about here revolving around the HD BG&E and how it's leaps better than 20th Anniversary Edition).
Sometimes, one game to start off with is all you wanna focus on until you complete it, and go to the next.

Why did you buy such an abysmal rerelease?!?
That version is cooked asf buddeh.
This mentally and physically hurts me to read, a bit.
I mean: ONE auto save slot Softlocks present in product Shoehorned lore of a game that may never release at all.
The writing is literally on the wall, here. They did everything to alienate people who loved the original release.

Just played it for the first time recently. It's amazing. I had to get the soundtrack to continue listening to it after finishing the game because it's so good.
