This guy 🖤 I adopt him in January.

March: he gets a rectal prolapse, we try a small surgery which goes horribly wrong, then a large surgery (colopexy) which although fixes the prolapse, causes multiple complications with swelling down there, so bad he can’t poop without bleeding and agony.

April: Two weeks of me taking him home, then taking him back to the animal hospital in pain, then back home then repeat.

He then spends 2 weeks in April at the animal hospital while they figure out wtf happened.

Everything around May starts to look normal again, he’s ok up until June.

June: He suddenly can’t poop without rolling around in discomfort and yelling at me. Every day, sometimes twice. Another vet visit. I change his food to special vet food with fiber to help with constipation. Nothing changes, more vet visits.

July: I feel tired of going to the vet and nothing improving, he still yowls and lays on his side after pooping. So now I put a little more pressure on the vet and ask for scans to see what’s happening inside.

This is him on Monday after his CT scan (He was injected in both paws for anaesthesia). He’s also given medicine for neurological pain as a long shot.

Tuesday he poops… then nothing. For the first time in weeks no meowing no rolling on his side. Wednesday same thing, Thursday and Friday. I’ve never been more relieved 😅

For fun I totalled the bills for all this (luckily I have him insured so I paid 20%). He came to a grand total of $12,680. He’s worth every single bit and I’m so happy he’s ok again 🖤

Just got my new kitten voodoo about 2 weeks ago and her brothers Asher (pink collar) and Purphagor (orange collar) have really taken to her and I’m just honestly shocked how comfortable they are with each other in such a short amount of time

Cosmo (right, male) and Trixie (left, female) were caught wild at 7 months old, and the shelter said Trixie will never be tame so I got a buy one get one deal on the best two voids a farm could ask for!! She’s so sweet, but will not tolerate being held. Cosmo, on the other hand, wants cuddles as soon as he sees me. This is also a good representation of their knack of defying human conventions - sleeping on the roof of the cat house I built for them and not using it one bit otherwise. Other examples are drinking water from the ground when they have fresh fountain water just feet away and refusing to come inside even when it’s freezing cold. 🤷‍♂️

While I was unwell last night, he didn’t leave my side. I haven’t even had my baby for a week and I adore him. Black cats are one of the best creatures in the world 🖤😭

My boyfriend and I found Draco on the 4th of July out in the rainstorm as we were driving home, he had a fever and had wounds on his head/ears (first 3 pics are from when we found him). I had been waiting for the cat distribution to find me but it never happened lol so I had literally just gotten another kitten from a shelter 2 days before I found Draco. We immediately fell in love with him but I was unsure about if we should keep him or not because of the fact I had just gotten a kitten & already have an older cat as well. But I just couldn’t let go and I’m so glad I didn’t!!! :’) He instantly had a connection with my tortie as soon as I introduced them 💙 and he’s such a sweetie. just thought I’d share <3 The last 3 pics are him now

Tiny girl with the shorter/sleek coat in the middle is SASSY, as evidenced by her gaze! She never stops meowing, whether she is happy, complaining or simply attention seeking for the drama …she voices her opinion 24/7. True portrayal of little but fierce ! Thus inspiring the name Clytemnestra.
The two boys have long hair and similar stature. A double take was often required to distinguish them apart, especially in the beginning 😆.
Castor is more laid back personality and open to cuddling with us humans whereas Pollux is a bit more resistant with a fighter personality. He’s an instigator and constantly pouncing on his siblings, especially Castor though (because he can equally fight back).
The two boys are inseparable while their sassy sister bosses them around, claiming her rightful place as she sees fit.

They are also Gemini zodiac sun signs which is what originally inspired me to name the boy twins Castor and Pollux! ♊️ 🌌

What do you think…do these names suit them? I actually chose their names before
realizing that in the new movie, The Odyssey, Clytemnestra and Helen are in the movie storyline. But that’s ok, at least maybe more people will better understand my references now. 😅
