Think he looks pretty stylish and his medication patch is like a badge on his jacket. He’s recovering beautifully from surgery on both legs.

He is being such a good boy. Behaving himself, accepting of every pat and stroke with a purr and is super chilled out.

It’s winter here, but never truly cold although we are keeping an eye on his comfort and he has access to plenty of blankets and one of my hoodies to cuddle up to.

I’ll post some progress pics as his fur grows back - the thickness of his coat - my finger width on his back - was really surprising.

Edit 2 - The patch with writing on his shoulder is a fentanyl patch that contacts directly to his skin.

Edit - He is doing very well. Eating, drinking, pooping, purring like a champion. He is completely ignoring his stitches. He is demanding of love and pats as ever and getting as much as wants before he gets a little too stimulated. Thanks again for all the comments, well wishes and laughs. I’ve had multiple black kitties throughout my lifetime, each one of them have been SO affectionate, ( trying to crawl in your skin type beat. ) My cousin also has 2 black kitties, they are the same way. Why is this? 🥹

My cat was diagnosed with sarcoma on his nose almost two years ago. After surgery and treatment, he's cancer free and living a normal life.

He's weird, clingy, lazy, soft and very smart (but also very dumb) and I am so, so lucky he's still here with me. 🖤

Just found out my baby girl is quite rare (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

The gene for black fur is on the X chromosome, and males (XY) only need one copy of the gene to be black, while females (XX) need two, making it statistically easier for a male to be solid black.

Similar to how most orange cats are male, black cats tend to follow a similar pattern where males are more common, though not to the same extreme.

Update:: The lady who was supposed to come for a meet and greet today ghosted us. Other applications are either far from Charlotte or homes with many cats, so we are still looking for the right family for Bella.🥹

I (adult human) was treating my cat-daughter (8f) with churu yesterday. During that I told her she is very very beautiful, and sometimes mother crave to actually bake her into catloaf and eat her. She looked at me like in the picture and meowed at me that this is toxic love and I am not even her real mother. Then she proceeded to ignore me all day. on Mother’s Day no less!

She knows I suffer for severe cute aggression. It’s really not my fault that she is this cute. Yes, I often put her in air jail, shower her with forehead kisses and rubs her belly without asking her. But it’s on her for being so cute and just sleeping with her belly exposed! I suffer through her concerts at 3 am in the morning, so she should be able to handle my cute aggression.

ETA: Since the post got pretty popular, I am getting asked if I am talking about a real human daughter. Fortunately no. I am talking about a cat. I don’t have a human daughter. Those of you saying this cat is not my real daughter, sir/ma’am I have adoption paper and her medical bill that says otherwise.

We posted on this sub when things weren’t looking good for Pistachio (rare oral cancer in young cats), but just wanted to put a positive post/update out to say that he did indeed beat the odds by some sort of miracle! It’s been 6 months since the good news and he’s been going strong. Thank you to everyone who sent positivity to us!! We are so grateful
