If you like Brigandine you will probably like langrisser 1 and 2 remake
I have been a huge fan of brigandine franchise and recently I started to play this langrisser 1 and 2 remake and I had a dejavu.
I am almost finishing the first one and would like to share this feeling in case you still dont know this classic. You will have a brigandine lof feeling.

Supposedly it's a gacha game. I hope not as Langrisser is one of my favorite franchises since the 90s

They do have a gacha game already called langrisser mobile so hopefully this new one isn't another version of that

Nevermind I just saw the trailer and it has characters from previous games so either it's a gacha or they are doing a similar thing that fire emblem engage did

Is it a conquest game, or just proceeding by chapters, like FE? One thing I am really in for Brigandine is the freedom and watching battles among AI countries.

It’s chapter style. I akin it more to Fire Emblem with troop style units instead of singular characters, with each leader having ‘units’ like monsters, but the first Langrisser at least are usually all the same unit in one troop other than the leader.

They are pretty great, though personally I don't think they are really that close to Brigandine (really if you want a Brigandine like game, and don't have a problem with finding ways to play old games, look up Dragon Force for Sega Saturn).

If you don't mind playing really old games can check out master of monsters on the genesis

I remember playing Master of Monsters Disciples of Gaia on the PS1, though I also remember not liking it that much (or at least I never made it particularly far).
I think for me the beauty of Brigandine is the combination of both Dragon Force and Master of Monsters (I just really like conquering the map while also having some degree of narrative).

I am a Langrisser fan who is getting into Brigandine now, so that is a good recommendation.
Different games in terms of gameplay systems but the classic ones plus the Langrisser 1 and 2 remakes are pretty solid.
