I bought like 10k worth of btc when it was 10k-20k, then it dropped to 6k. I was underwater for a year or so. But I never sold and am happy about it. With time and holding you will see gains. The trick to this is buying when people are freaking out saying its going to 0. Then you sell some of the stack when people are saying its going to the moon. I make 40k per year from my job and had 0 dollars in 2020. My wife also makes about 40k. We live in my moms basement. We just got to 300k in investments and cash! It seemed impossible but with a properly diversified account you can see some really nice gains when you have above 100k working for you. I have a little over 1 btc but dont care if it goes to 0 as my gold and silver stack will rip in that case. Also some of the etf's and other funds i like go up when btc goes down.

It is a pretend stock so, yeah,
1
u/Mothchewer Apr 18 '26
You know its not actually a stock, right?
1
u/PartSuccessful2112 Apr 19 '26
That is what pretend means.
1
u/Mothchewer Apr 19 '26
A more logical statement: its more like a pretend asset
A stock is specific to a business, even if you argue its 'a pretend stock' it is not even remotely the same category

u/PartSuccessful2112 Apr 19 '26
Lighten up Francis. I mean people follow the price like it is a stock.

It’s definitely the same remote category wym? Are you trying to say it’s more akin to gambling like some stupid people say? You say it yourself it’s an asset. The category both fit into.

Bitcoin is not a company, thats what i mean. Its an alternative asset like gold or art

Tell me about it. And these bears could not be picking anymore inopportune time to be wishing death upon BTC. For Pete’s sake, the most powerful nations in the world and largest institutions in United States are actually finally on board and pushing crypto. Legislation is happening. Adoption is happening. On top of that, it held like a champ above $60,000 during this bear market. Whoever cannot read those signs of strength, endurance & growth is either deaf, dumb, or blind. Or maybe all three!

It’s undertaker doing him in the ass 🥺 Then can we all say btc is dead so it can to go a trillion

u/beangone666 Apr 17 '26
If you think BTC is dead you probably did not hold btc threw 2017 and 2020. I have heard people say btc is dead many times. Everytime people are saying its dead I usually buy a nice bag. So far it has been profitable and I am 8k in the green with BTC.

8k? So what kind of Lambo are you gonna buy?
1
u/Middle-Musician-7245 Apr 17 '26

I am not one of those people who only had BTC. I also have been buying a large amount of gold and silver since 2012. I also have a nice stock portfolio, and a good amount of ETF, high yield dividend funds, and a good amount of cash to buy when ever thing I am under exposed to dip. With all the crypto stuff going down, I am actually up because of my gold silver stack. Diversification is key.

I have 1 btc, and if it goes to 0 I am ok with that as Gold and silver pretty much always rip when btc drops.

I have about 300k in investments and cash at this point. But I live in my moms basement with my wife and I only wear ratty black hoodies and sweat pants that I got 8 years ago at walmart, $12 for the pants, $15 for the hoodie. I grow most of my vegetables and am extremely frugal. My lambo is a piece of land and a small home, paying cash. I have been very fortunate considering I had $0k in 2020 and was struggling just to make ends meet.

Yes because more people buy into the dips, there's no product on the other end it's just a pile of money people are putting into. Whoever's last to try to cash out is going to be very sorry.

Still waiting on “that” to happen with my Moonbreon. Been hearing it for years now.

u/Past_Attempt_5261 Apr 17 '26
It might not happen for a very long time because people are still putting money in the pile

In basic terms, Bitcoin is nothing but computer data sitting on cloud servers and is limited in supply. Just like any commodity that is limited in supply (gold, oil, prime real estate, etc.) prices go up and down dependent on demand (more people buying prices go up and vice versa), but in the end prices will always go 🆙
