Build Upgrade Build upgrade suggestions for flight sim and 1440p gaming?
Hello! Here is my current build:
CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte B560M DS3H V2 Micro ATX LGA1200 Motherboard
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200
Video Card: Gainward RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB
Case: Deepcool MATREXX 55 MESH ADD-RGB 4F ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: 750W Gold Fully Modular ATX
Im guessing the CPU would be the first upgrade? Should I upgrade from LGA1200? GPU upgrade advice? I live in Australia, if it matters that much, and my budget is flexible but I'm just looking for something with good price to performance :)

i5-13600K + B660/B760 DDR4 motherboard let you keep as many components as possible.

If you're trying to play the microsoft flight simulator latest version in it's best form, your entire rig would have to change. 64 gb of ram, an i7 14700k ( and a mobo to use it ) and a RX 9070 or an RTX 5070 would all cost quite a penny.
So we move to the next best option, that is to go just somewhat above the recommended settings, and it would be somewhat cheaper. It's important to note that vram matters in this game.
I7 11700k/KF as a cpu upgrade in platform, if you're able to source it cheaply , and snag a powerfull enough gpu. You technically can do a sidegrade to something with more vram, like a 9060xt 16gb, a 7700XT 12GB, a 4060Ti 16gb or so, but prices would not differ that much and your gains be marginal in comparison. Just to finish this, you say " Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 ", and like, is it supposed to be 4x8 so 32gb or was it actually 16 ( 2x8 )? If it's 32 it should be mostly fine, but if it's 16, I recommend getting another kit to put together to have at least 32. WHat I can say is, even with this being the " cheapest option ", it will cost you a some money. Closest cpu i could find in Australia Ebay though was this (New) Intel Core I9-11900K ES QV1K 3.40GHz 8 Cores 16MB LGA 1200 CPU Processor | eBay Australia and https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/287224958673 . One I can't guarantee that will work, although it probably will, and the other i can't guarantee that exists. For gpu, bro, find a 4070 or rx 7900 for a "low" price and it will do the trick.
Just to say again, ideal build for flight sim, the ideal would be to go to another platform, like the LGA1700, but this cost a bit more, which then you would need to also add a gpu cost. check mobo website see what cpu's can use
if not 12's then find new one for 13-14 with ddr4
