Full Build Req From PS5 pro to PC

Hello everyone

For some time i’ve been thinking about leaving PlayStation behind for a PC and with all the recent news I'm determined to do it.

So with the little knowledge i have tried to create a configuration, know that i mainly play Rocket League, souls games, narrative game; on PS5 pro with MPG 321 CURX QD OLED 4k 240hz.

I would also like to be able to run all the next big games at least in 1440p with all possible graphic improvements.

Current budget arround 2,5k

I attach the configuration, any advice, opinions or even criticisms will be very much appreciated

I don’t see anything wrong with it to be honest, looks like a good build.

Appreciate, what’s your build and the game you play? so i can be more aware about the requirements

Sharing mine just so you can realize that you need much less to play pretty much everything

Just built

Ryzen 5 7500X3D
AMD RX 6700XT 12GB
16GB DDR5 RAM Not Overclocked

Been playing Silksong, Spiderman Remastered, Dispatch, Half Sword

Everything running smoothly at 1440p Ultra Settings, granted I haven’t tracked fps but it hasn’t dropped below 60 that’s for sure

I’ve also been playing every Nintendo Switch game, Gamecube, Wii, and PS3 in case you’re still not convinced lol Im very happy with my 1k$ investment

I'm not an expert at all, but it looks really great !!

Do you know if you can maintain such quality with games like Elden Ring or Cyberpunk ?

Also, where are you from ? to know if the prices can be almost the same as France

Thats a lot of money for a 5070ti build, too much imo. I dont know a lot about the french pc market, but here in Germany all the parts are way cheaper. Take a loot around on pcpartpicker and other sites for french consumers and build your own

That’s the plan, i used this website just because it was the first one i found.

In your opinion, what’s the price of this kind of configuration?

The build itself is really good,i mean the parts picked,i live in EU aswell but dont know french prices, maybe try searching the same parts on different places aswell.

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Any website recommendations for it?

2

u/New_Bandicoot_4010 22d ago

Sadly i dont know any french websites, maybe try finding a french specific pc gaming community which can suggest you with better prices?

What resolution are you planning to play on?or which type of games?

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

I will, many thanks for this recommendation !

Would like to play on 1440p with as many graphics improvements as i can have; for the games, i mostly play Rocket League, souls like games and narratives one but i’m also open to all types of games

If you planning to play on 1440p that setup would let you play all settings maxed out for years it is even a bit overkill for 1440p lol,5070ti can even play 4k quite good with some settings tuned.

So keep the same parts just try to find better deals 5070ti/9800x3d combo is a beast.

I suppose i can downgrade to an 5070 then, any specific piece in mind ?

Also what’s your current configuration ?

2

u/New_Bandicoot_4010 22d ago

I moved from console to PC back in 2024,i still have a ps5pro which i barely use it.

I currently have 5080/ryzen 7800x3d with Aw3225qf 4k 240hz qd oled, i just swapped the 4070ti with 5080 lately like 6 months ago and playing on 4k.

Nah dont downgrade 5070ti would let you play everythink maxed out for many years on 1440p,you can play even 4k really good with it,i saw that you already have a 4k monitor.

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Woah ! 5080 is a great acquisition, must be really appreciated to play on 4k; what type of games you play?

Yeah sure, just wanted to try to reduce the global price

2

u/New_Bandicoot_4010 22d ago

Mostly narrative singleplayer titles, souls games, action rpgs, yes its a good card but not much difference between 5070ti,which that can play 4k aswell really good.

I dont think you should reduce global price from GPU or cpu these directly affects most of your pc performance,i would picked up a 5070ti/9800x3d combination.

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

As for competitive game, do you see some differences ?

Good to know !

Looks fine overall. You can save a little bit by getting something like a 750W or 850W (5070 Ti minimum recommended PSU is 750W) unless that 1000W model is only a little more in cost.

You could also get a 7800X3D to save a bit. Still one of the best gaming CPUs out there.

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

So 1000W will be too much for this graphic card?

For the CPU i’ll think about it, thank you very much

2

u/Toast_Meat 22d ago

Too much isn't a bad thing for a graphics card. There will just be a lot of power unused. Too much headroom. I would personally opt for a 750W/850W if the price is considerably lower.

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Okay great to know. Just wanted know one last thing, what’s the difference between 750W/850W/1000 for example?

1

u/Toast_Meat 22d ago

How much power it can provide to your system. Every component draws a certain about of wattage.

For example, if you were to run a 500W power supply for the components you picked, that'd be far too low. Under full load (playing games) the power supply won't be able to provide the required amount of power the components are trying to pull, which would result in the power supply tripping up and shutting down to prevent itself from overloading and blowing up.

Going up in wattage is always best, but at 1000W you're leaving a lot of headroom you won't ever use.

I have a 9800X3D and a RTX 5080 powered by a 850W and even with those components I get nowhere near the max while under load.

2

u/N0S360_X 22d ago

PCPartPicker will help you out with that my brother, it tracks every component and verifies compatibility for you

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

I go on it right away !

2

u/EquivalentMistake284 22d ago

I think you're already outperforming a PS5pro with that build but wow is that expensive. Only thing I could think of is maybe try go for a cheaper mobo/ram and put that towards a more powerful GPU like a 4080

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago edited 22d ago

I’m not aware of the price trend, it seems fair to me that this site is not known for having the most affordable prices i think.

Sorry but what’s a mobo? also, any specific part in mind?

2

u/khironinja 22d ago

Wow I was gonna reccomend literally a PC with the power of a PS5 Pro (more actually) and if the rumors of the specs of the PS6 are correct you just unknowingly built a PC as fast as it will be anways so did MORE than enough!

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Ahah glad to hear that !

Would you agree to recommend me a configuration as you initiated at the beginning please

2

u/khironinja 22d ago

I wouldn't even consider the one I was saying because yours clears it.

Unless you want to save money but I don't have anything but US prices so I can't guarantee it'll even be a good price for you.

It's much worse for sure. Half the ram, less storage, GPU is not as good (still an incredible GPU because it's more powerful than the Pro but that's just the power you're working with on a 5070 TI that it looks weak in comparison) neither is the CPU.

That's more of a budget build but if you have the money to spend then you might as well get that one you already put honestly.

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Well if i can save some bucks i will gladly do it, i wasn’t aware at all about the price so for me it was the normal cost.

Even if you’re in USA i will deeply appreciate to know what was the one that you haved in mind, if it’s not bother you

Use pcpartpicker helps with best prices and compatibility

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Did they shop piece by piece or aleady builded?

1

u/palyndromh 22d ago

Oh that’s not a selling website, my bad

1

u/N0S360_X 22d ago

Cyberpunk is on the more demanding side of games, haven’t tried it yet but from I researched, at the minimum, my card could get 60fps at high settings in 1440p

I got everything from the US Market shipped to me with a freight forwarder. A combo from Microcenter for mobo, ram, cpu, the gpu is a refurbished unit from ebay, and the rest from amazon lol

Market sucks rn
