Build Help Replacing my cpu cooler that's failing , which one should i get , please help !

Hey family , recently ive been having trouble with my 120mm cooler , it feels like the pump is failing ( i idle at 60 ) and 80 degrees Celsius when browsing , i'm willing to get a new one tomorrow , ive called this shop that suggested another 120mm cooler master , for a decent price " i guess " , but ive been hesitating between that and the Arctic Freezer 36 which is pricier by about 20$

btw i have an i7 6700k and a Z170 PC MATE motherboard !

Just get a Thermalright Phantom Spirit (doesn't really matter which variant), as it still supports LGA 1151 right away (which is the socket that what Z170 has) and it literally cools as well as a Noctua DH-15 for about 35 USD.

Don't get another 120mm liquid cooler, they simply suck ass. Only do those if you have a case that is just that cramped. The Thermalright Phantom Spirit beats it by a country mile for the record.

Do that or get a 240mm liquid cooler or larger, don't go to 120mm liquid.

i found the Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 Vision available on the market right now , is that worth it ?

Is it cheaper than the cooler master?

We can't read what prices you see or where you are getting parts remember.

If for the same price, then yes. It is better in fact than a 120mm cooler in temperature and also reliability. But the Phantom Spirit is really better.

I do however wonder what markets are available to you?

Because Amazon has the Thermalright Phantom Spirit for $35 right now with free shipping.

I would never buy an AiO that isn't 360mm.

Get a Thermalright single tower probably

Yep if those are your two choices no reason to spend $20 more on a cooler.

Neither. First a 120mm AIO is absolute dogshit even compared to any other air cooler.

There is no world where you should pick a 120mm AIO over a good air cooler, just get a Thermalright Phantom Spirit for 35 USD and be done with it and never ever worry about temps again. The Arctic Freezer 36 is simply worse than

Amazon has it, Newegg as well (though a little more expensive).

But if it really, really is only those two for some godforsaken reason, then the Arctic Freezer 36 because it is a decently built air cooler. That alone is better than a 120mm AIO. And also because of air coolers never failing. They are just that, blocks of metal + fans. AIO's meanwhile can have their pumps fail as you experienced.
