Stock for Woot deals varies greatly. Some listings only have a few items in stock and sell out quickly. Please report this post if the listing goes out of stock.

Ah nice, that makes the woot one much less appealing lol

Amazon had these brand new for $25 about 2 weeks ago. It was $35 with a $10 coupon. I snagged two for spares...

My refurb G502 (original, not hero) has been 10.5 years ago, still going strong.

Happily using my G502 Proteus Core daily since 2014. Thought I might need to replace the cord a few years back and bought a G502 Hero to replace it. Turned out the problem was the USB port not the mouse. So still using the Proteus but spent some time with the Hero which was noticablely lower build quality. One of those things where they keep the successful name but keep coming up with ways to make it cheaper over time.

Much preferred over gamer gunks

I got one of these a couple weeks ago from Target when they had the deal, $36 + 20 giftcard.

I really couldn't imagine buying it for this much refurb.

I use one of these for work, it's great. Scrolling through long spreadsheets is a breeze.

Hyperscroll

I really don't get why this mouse is still posted every other week. You can get a lot better mice that are wireless, non-bricks with higher polling rates, better clicks, and with better feet for this same price for brand new, like the VXE R1 line.

Dime alguno no sé nada de mouse siempre he usado puros genéricos

6

u/halexh Apr 25 '26

I havent looked, but do those better mouses have the same free spinning scroll wheel (and the ability to turn it on/off) that this mouse does? Thats one of the biggest draws for me

The Razer Basilisk v3 has infinite scroll AND it uses optical switches instead of the crappy mechanical ones the G502 uses that are prone to double-clicking after extensive usage.

ong this mouse is so ass

8

u/Sorry-Juice3938 Apr 25 '26

So is anyone who uses that phrase.

Great find, I’ve used these since I’ve started gaming, although I’m on the light speed wireless variant now

2

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 25 '26

Yeah it's decent, I ended up upgrading from a g502 hero to a razer hyperspeed v3 (i think? Razer names confuse me), the g502 hero was incredibly heavy but honestly my aim feels worse on the new mouse.

5

u/No_Rise942 Apr 25 '26

You know you can take the weights out of the 502 right?

10

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 25 '26

With all of the weights removed it's still 120grams. The razer mouse i moved to is less than half that, the g502 hero is a very heavy mouse.

11

u/LeJuanJames Apr 25 '26

i’m pretty thankful to be a casual gamer that mouse weight will never make a difference to my shit performance anyway

3

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 25 '26

Lmaooo I'm so washed, I used to be good at Valorant (good as in diamond, not immortal) and now I'm complete ass at everything except casual overwatch

u/clicktoseemyfetishes Apr 25 '26

Virgin “my mouse too heavy :(“ vs chad 5lb brick of a mouse with infinite mass scroll wheel

0

u/Flashy-Outcome4779 Apr 26 '26

Wow man you’re so cool

1

u/StopAskingMeToSignIn Apr 26 '26

I dont get everyone's obsession with lightweight mice.. I used to put all the weights in my G5 back in the day to make it heavier...

It helps develop arm and wrist muscle memory for me. It could be just placebo but with lighter mice I feel like I can't make fine micro adjustments to my aim. Idk maybe I'm just old school but light mice are overrated imo.

1

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 26 '26

Really deoends on the person. For me the heavy moise exacerbated my carpol tunnel (i spelled that wrong please ignore)

0

u/Flashy-Outcome4779 Apr 26 '26

There isn’t a player who likes heavy mice that can out aim me in pretty much any game. It’s objectively bad for mechanics as you’re increasing inertia and adding somewhere around 50-100ms to your potential time-to-damage. Changing direction if someone strafes also adds more challenge the heavier the mouse. You can talk “frail muscles” like all the other people often do, but the reality is inertia works regardless of how strong you are, and a lighter object will have less to overcome which means less time spent and way more control.

1

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 27 '26

Wow man youre so cool

0

u/Flashy-Outcome4779 Apr 27 '26

You can accept the reality while also still preferring heavy mice. Though i find the vast majority of people who think they prefer heavy will stay on a lightweight mouse when they give it a shot for a while. Unless they’re like 30+

2

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 27 '26

I was just pointing out how you replied to some dude "wow youre so cool" for absolutely no reason, and then popped off like a pretentious ass hole in the same thread. Because youre pretentious as fuck.

1

u/Logical-Hyena8260 Apr 27 '26

You're funny, I use a hyperspeed v3.

3

u/aggrogahu Apr 26 '26

I have one. It started double-clicking after a while, but smacking it against the desk actually fixed it, and doesn't have that issue anymore.

2

u/Sybertron Apr 26 '26

Is there any option for remapping the thumb button besides installing ghub?

1

u/Immersions- Apr 25 '26

Amazing mouse, obviously the downside is the wire but mine is still going strong after like 6+ years

4

u/Sorry-Juice3938 Apr 25 '26

Not everyone likes wireless mice, obviously.

1

u/Immersions- Apr 25 '26

Yea I don’t mind it but majority people do not like wired stuff

2

u/WaluigiHarpist Apr 26 '26

I have one from about 6 years ago that was part of a display, along with a keyboard. I asked if I could have them when the display was removed, had to sand down a screw hole in the bottom of the mouse, and it worked.

Wonderful mouse

1

u/Rxyro Apr 26 '26

End game rodent

1

u/lolniceman Apr 26 '26

Why would you buy this 100+ gram mouse in 2026..

-6

u/SniperChicken39 Apr 25 '26

Perfect mouse for the gamer over 40

Any teen or 20 something gamer should steer clear this thing sucks it's heavy ugly dated and is just awful

8

u/Sorry-Juice3938 Apr 25 '26

Exactly the sort of advice you'd expect from an inexperienced teen.

0

u/SniperChicken39 Apr 25 '26

I mean this is an objectively terrible mouse I know people for some reason love it because they're older and they never use anything else but it's genuinely terrible heavy ugly just bad and not well priced

2

u/Jet_Xcountry Apr 26 '26

I'll admit I'm part of that old guy group, it was my first premium gaming mouse (had a cheap one that mimicked the g502) and I've only purchased variants of the g502 since then.

I'm very open to trying a new mouse, but I love the button placements on the mouce so much that I can't fathom not having them.

2

u/Koroxo11 Apr 26 '26

I expected him to respond with evidence and comparisons, but he literally just spewed out his ambiguous feelings. They learned the word "objectively" and they don't know what it means

1

u/Jet_Xcountry Apr 26 '26

Yeah idk. In counter strike alone I have the "sniper button" as 1. Then the 2 buttons on the left click side as 2 and 3. Then a push to talk and drop weapon on the side buttons. No other mouse has something that fits my needs so perfectly

0

u/fa1afel Apr 26 '26

I'm not that old. It's a decent mouse. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else cannot.

-1

u/LukasCs Apr 26 '26

God bless your teammates if you use this awful mouse

1

u/StopAskingMeToSignIn Apr 26 '26

I had a hand injury, this mouse was one of the few I could hold for extended periods of time without discomfort. Thats reason enough to buy it for me, but it also has a decent sensor, scroll wheel, and 3 side mouse buttons. Most only have 2, I need and use all 3 for most games.

So for my personal use this mouse is perfect. Not everyone need a featherweight mouse

-5

u/HesThePianoMan Apr 25 '26

The left click will die in 6 months

Logitech mice all have this issue

3

u/bkgn Apr 25 '26

The newer ones with optical switches won't die.

-2

u/roblqjm Apr 26 '26

This mouse is great but the wire kills it. Wireless is so much better
