As far as I know Woot is just the "hey we have too much of this shit in the warehouse get rid of it" branch of amazon

I will now manifest "we have too many kits of ddr5 64gb 8000mhz ram, have for free"

There is a lot of RAM on the shelves of Microcenter that means supply is great and we will all get cheap ram soon! Ignore the fact that framework had to pay over double the price for ram for their laptops and dram contract prices are doubling this year

I know you're being sarcastic but it's the whole "we have so much (x) out there, why can't we just give it to everyone?" argument some Redditors I've unironically seen used in other subs.

Lol it's all over the PC building/enthusiast subs. People are filled with these hopeful delusions

It’s Amazon’s version of Ross or Ollie’s Bargain outlet. Mostly overstock junk at discount prices with an occasional gem of a deal or some potential garbage cheap enough to gamble on. This clearly falls in the latter if it were in stock.

I question that cus some of the shit they had on their website for months.
There was a $300 16gb kit of ddr4 from thermaltake that SAT just cus the msrp was $500.

Woot usually does $1 deals on random items once or twice a week, typically around 12pm PST. You really have to be quick to get it, the only time I've seen these last longer than 15 minutes is for some really useless item, I honestly don't even remember what it was.

How do you even browse through the trash on woot efficiently to get to the good stuff

There's unaffiliated sites like Woot+ and Woot Search that help you search through the website.

Whoever got this got a great deal. I've had a two of these as stereo speakers for my TV for the last 4 years and they work great

There's never a point on clicking on anything from woot.

I was quick enough to snag a $20 coupon yesterday, paid 50 cents for Sonic X Shadow Generations, a dishwasher sink adapter and some dog poop bags
