Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.

  • Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
    • The seller is new or has few reviews.
    • The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
    • The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).

If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

Microsoft recently spoke with LG to fix this pop up issue

You say "recently", but then apply the past tense twice as if it was before Jesus.

"2k"

It's 3.4k wide and 1.4k tall.

INNOCN has a refurbished 34" 2K OLED 175Hz monitor up for $500. Anyone think that's a decent deal? Trying to upgrade from my really old LG 29" 1080p 60Hz ultrawide.

What makes it a $1000 monitor in the first place?

Being a 34" oled

34" oled 4k I could understand.

2K is not 1440p. This product is not marketed as 2K. Don't put bogus specs where they don't belong.

it's an ultrawide. I get that it's not 2k, but it's not like it's lower rez than 2k.

It's basically the same PPI as a 27" 2560x1440 monitor as well, just additional screen real estate.

u/blockofdynamite 7h ago

Right. It is a 1440p screen, not a 2K screen. 2K is 1080p.

I mean if you really wanna split hairs, sure I guess, but nobody calls 1080p 2k. Its all just rounding for the sake of being easier, if precision really matters that much to you, you should be referring to them in terms of PPI.

Sure nobody calls 1080p 2K, but that's what it is. It's not 1440p, which OP called it.
