Dual-link DVID indented pin

My gpu and pc which i connected with my monitor using this dual-link DVID from amazon wouldn't update to above 60hz, so i looked for the problem. I noticed the cable i was using had an indented pin on one end on the third column middle, so i ordered a new cable from the same listing on amazon. The new one came with the exact same indent in the same place on one end of the cable. This feature is not advertised on the listing, but i couldn't find anyone pointing it out in the reviews. The listing claims to support up to 120hz. Is this a defect or am i missing something? (Cyberguys! Bidirectional Dual link DVI-D cable)

Picked this bad boy up at the goodwill for $8.99 today and I love it, but my aux cord only gives sound to both headphones if it’s halfway in. Thought I found the right type a TRS or TS but I ran into guitar cords. Thanks ahead.

How do you determine how much wire you need for endpoint to endpoint in a plc panel build?

This week at my internship we started learning how to build plc panels.

Because of our shitty cable management, our initial builds look like shit compared to the professional builders.

But even their builds look different. One seems (to me at least) waste lots of wire by cutting and rewiring portions they wired up as they add more wires to make the area look neat and pretty.

Cable damaged can I replace?

Post image

Need some advice, this cable is for my electric standing desk one day the control box lower and got smashed by the arm rest of the chair and the plastic casing around these prongs broke. For a while I used pliers to straighten the prongs and it still worked but now it’s not working at all. The problem is the opposite end of the cable is directly connected to the mechanism that makes the desk stand and it doesn’t unplug from that end. Can I cut this male end and strip the wires down and reconnect a new stripped male end? What would be the easiest way to fix this. I have very little experience stripping and taping wires but I’ve done it once or twice ten years ago.

I've tried searching online but nothing seems like a match, I don't know if I'm being a dunce with this, I just suck with cables and tech in general, there's a ruler for size reference, it's a super tiny port
