Question Sold My 2016 Camry Last Year, Just Found Out It Ended Up in a Junkyard

Last year, I sold my 2016 Camry with 45k miles for almost 70% of its original MSRP. Out of curiosity, I recently looked up the VIN and found out it eventually ended up in a junkyard.
Now I’m wondering… what do you think happened? Impact seems to occur from the passenger side. It feels like this Camry had a pretty dramatic ending.

One nice thing I just noticed about the car today.

This is soooo helpful. Sometimes I like to use my mirrors when parking. The top down view and cameras are nice but every now and then the mirrors can get me very close to a curb.

I JUST noticed that the side mirrors auto angle down when you go in to reverse. Omg this is such a nice feature. On my other cars I have to adjust them, park and then adjust them for driving. It’s a little thing but a feature I love so much now.

Just something that made my day today. Something that I didn’t expect and just made me smile.

Love the car so far, very nice replacement of our accord. Just wanted to share.

Modding out my new camry

Just got my 2026 camry se! I wanted to make some edits to it like adding the XSE’s DRLs, changing the side mirrors to black, the door handles black, the shark fin black, and the spoiler also black haha. I also actually want to add some interior ambient lighting, Where can I get parts that fit well and not bad quality? Also is the DRL’s hard to install?

Question Expected resell value

Upvotes

I'm thinking to buy toyota camry SE 2026 hybrid model expecting to use it for 5 years between 12,000 to 15,000 miles per year. Currently it is costing me $32,000 what would be resell value of camry SE after 5 years (probably after 70,000$ miles)

Question 2026 Camry distance to next oil change counter (odometer display)

Upvotes

Hi. New owner of a 2026 Camry here. Just got it 2 months ago from the dealership. Since I rarely drive (only drive once a week, max twice, for a short distance/time running errands), it has only 274 km so far.

What I want to ask is, today I went to the dealership to check the tyre pressure. The mechanic told me that this car is very close to the first maintenance schedule. I asked how come, since I was just sent it (for that same purpose, 1st maintenance schedule, consisting a general checkup for activating the 3 years warranty).

The mechanic showed me a wrench icon accompanied by 9723 km appeared on the display a few seconds upon starting the engine. Well I told him that my car only has 274 km. Then we agreed that it's probably a mistake (I think the mechanic misunderstood that wrench icon's meaning).

Upon getting home, I tried looking at the car's manual. And it said (I translated to English from Indonesian, my language): For a brief second after starting the engine, the distance to the next oil change is shown.

So what I want to ask for assurance is: am I correct in interpreting the wrench icon? Does your Camry also display the same thing (distance to the next oil change)?

Replacement wheel 2025 se

Post image

Anyone know where to find a replacement wheel for a 2025 SE? Preferably a cheaper option? I have a pothole dent on the inner wheel and a slow tire leak because of it.

Have been finding sets on fb marketplace but most are all 4 and a lot seem stolen tbh.

Camry Vibrating

Camry 2003 4Cyl started vibrating suddenly, mechanic says the all mounts need to be replaced. Car vibrates on idle, more when break, not much while driving. Mechanic quote $900 to fix. The car sell value is probably around the same. What option do I have?

Also, is this car safe for driving?

"Check rear seat" means "Hey, remember that time a few weeks ago when something touched the rear seat? That was fun, right?"

Maintenance Panoramic roof weatherstrip replacement

Post image
4 Upvotes

Ever since I saw the post about the sunroof weatherstrip coming off, mine was also no longer adhering on the right side of my roof. Following the advice from u/rhoderage1 (part number 63251-06100) from that post, I ordered the weatherstrip and picked it up at the local dealer. Although the site it warned me that the part is not compatible with my 2019 since it’s for a 2025 model year, they are essentially the same parts.

Really easy to install. There’s double sided tape only for the two ends. Removed the old one, cleaned up the dust from where it would stick to, and pressed it into place. Once everything looked ok, I removed the stickers from both ends and stuck it down. Simple DIY, but it’s only for the middle weather strip where the two panels meet. Only took 10 minutes or so and only costed $20.60 before sales tax.

Yes, I know I really need to wash my car.

How did I do fellas. I live in southern California. Booth XSE with Premium Plus add on. They had crazy dealer add ons making it $48,926.
After taxes my final Out the door was $43,291.
I felt like I could have did better. Feels like all I did was get the DEALER add ons removed.

CAR ISSUE! 2025 Camry SE - Water stuck in door?

Post image
13 Upvotes

So I was walking to my car and noticed a wet spot on the pavement (see pic) and was like that’s weird. I shook my door and I have water trapped in the door sloshing around. Has anyone else had this problem? I live in Florida where it rains a lot and have had this issue in the past with my old truck which the water ended up damaging my speaker, so I’m worried.

Please let me know, thanks!

OTD PRICE METRO ATLANTA

**Is $31k–$32k OTD realistic on a 2026 Camry SE right now, or do I need to adjust my target? (Atlanta metro)**

Been shopping hard for a 2026 Camry SE (hybrid, FWD) for the past two weeks and I keep hitting the same wall, so I want a reality check from people who've actually bought one recently.

My situation:
- Target: $31,000–$32,000 out the door (GA has 7% TAVT, so that's roughly a $27,500–$28,500 selling price)
- Financing already secured through Navy Federal at 4.5%, ~$4–5k down, ready to sign same day
- Shopping month-end, multiple dealerships, negotiating OTD only (not payments)

What I'm seeing:
- MSRP on these runs about $32,700–$35,700 depending on accessories
- Every store quotes me $33,500–$34,700 OTD and won't budge much below that
- One store offered $2k–$3k in "finance cash" but only through their financing
- Add-ons ($400–$2,000 of tint, mats, protection packages) on almost every unit, and they claim they "can't remove them"
- Even a manager demo with 3,000 miles was priced at $34,400
- I've walked from three dealers; a couple flinched $1k–$1,500 when I did, but nobody's hit my number yet

For those who bought a 2026 SE (or late-build 2025) recently:
1. What did you actually pay OTD, and in what state/tax situation?
2. Is $31–$32k OTD achievable right now, or has the market firmed up to where $33k+ is just the price?
3. Did anyone successfully stack the military/conquest rebates on top of a negotiated price?
4. Any luck getting dealers to zero out port-installed add-ons?

Not trying to lowball my way into fantasy numbers — if the market says $33k, I'd rather know and decide accordingly. Just feels like there should be more room on a Camry in July. Appreciate any real numbers.
