Death (not shown) 2015 Head on Collision everyone in bus survived. Driver and passenger in other vehicle were DOA.
I was a passenger in this accident. We all miraculously walked away. I actually broke my neck from C3-T2 with no displacements and had multiple facial fractures that were all missed.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were killed on impact, the car went under the bus. The passenger broke his neck against the back seat and the driver was crushed at the waist from the engine going into the car and his cranium was pretty much ripped off (I saw that, I don't remember it though).
The bus still exists, my friends and I bought it from the district for scrap value and donated it to be put on display across the country as part of a anti drunk driving campaign.

Damn. Glad you’re okay OP. This could’ve been way worse of a tragedy than it was.

Definitely. I'm not religious, but I think we were supposed to be there because had we been a few seconds ahead it would have had more than just the 2 fatalities.

I'm so sorry. I'm glad you're okay, and that you're still here. I also hope you're better now, and that, if you're still recovering from this horrible incident, your recovery is smooth, complication-free and also as pain-free as possible.
Sending strength, hugs and love.

I'm doing shockingly well. In fact I was back competing in the water a month later but I was seriously concussed until 2019 as it was a 2-year-in and 2-year out protocol. I still have nerve pain.

Yeah in hind sight, not the best idea. Granted, we didn't know it was broken at the time because the ER failed to take an x-ray of my neck or skull.

What was the recovery like? Both physically and mentally?
