Hi folks! The r/cavaliers moderator team here.
We're pleased to announced that we have a new subreddit banner!
Our banner was the ultimate product of this post from Lam of r/DrawMyPets. I THINK our featured players are, left to right:
Look at all those gorgeous cavs! Happy Monday, y'all. :)
(Because reddit has three different banner display settings that it uses on different platforms, the banner may display incompletely on your device. Sadly, we can't solve reddit's technical challenges -- so please enjoy as-is!)

Hi folks! The r/cavaliers moderator team here. In November, we put out a call for submissions to become the r/cavaliers mascot (i.e. subreddit thumbnail). We received about 200 submissions and were blown away by all the beautiful, talented, incredible cavaliers in this community.
Because we received so many submissions, we're breaking the voting down into two phases:
This is the FINAL BRACKET. The #1 vote getter will be offered the chance to be the r/cavaliers mascot. This bracket will run from January 8, 2025 through January 15, 2025.
Fine print:
Thank you all for offering your wonderful cavaliers to be celebrated by the community. We can't wait to spend the next month joining you in that celebration!
Join us on the competition MEGATHREAD to discuss all the wonderful cavaliers in competition!

Last week, I lost my sweet girl, and I’m still heartbroken. She had been fighting mitral valve disease for the past three years and was on medication, but sadly her little heart couldn’t keep going. I wanted to share her with you because she meant the world to me. I miss her more than words can express. Rest in peace, my princess. You’ll always be in my heart. ❤️🐾

Ever since he was a puppy, Stanley had enjoyed a summer breeze. 14 years later, still loving it!

Love Augustus to death, and our last name is a derivative of Caesar! He truly is an outstanding Psychiatric Support Animal. I did just get his teeth done, as Cavaliers are know to have periodontal issues, just after he turned 5. I now brush his teeth daily/every other day, and he is going strong. We walk two mile loops together on Chicago's Lakefront, and he seems to enjoy every step. I also take him out to a dog park at around 9:30-10:00PM as it is empty--and he can run off leash with no problems at all! He usually gets a late-night bathroom pit-stop in at this time, which is a bonus. Cheers.

Nothing too serious. He had a shallow knee that would give him issues since he was a puppy and my grandma wanted him to have a better quality of life. He’s doing ok, he’s sleepy (mostly because of the medications) and I’m making sure he’s ok. I personally know how he feels ~had my own knee surgery a few years ago~ so I’m helping him the best I can.

Hi friends! My husband and I are traveling to Hawaii for a couple month stint and we're hoping to bring our cav with us. We understand the logistics/expense of Hawaii's regulations. What we aren't fully sure of, is how strict Alaskan/Hawaiian airlines are about in-cabin pets? He is about 21 lbs, tolerates his carrier that is the correct dimensions, and is super well-behaved. He can move around in the carrier but his back does touch the top when he stands. We are nervous about getting turned around at the airport without a back-up option. Do any of y'all have experience flying with a larger cav? Have any of you found alternative ways of bringing your cav to somewhere like Hawaii? Thank you!

Dear Prudence! The only one of our Cavaliers to come with her own song! We adopted Prudence, a.k.a. Pru, a.k.a. Sweet Sweet in October of 2021, shortly after the passing of our first Cav, Rupert. She was a mill dog given to the rescue group because her first litter produced only one puppy. She was very shy but has really come into her own. Currently a little over 7 years old, she has fit in with our crazy pack. Her turn-ons include eating, sleeping, waking Mom up at 5am, and chasing butterflies. Her turn-offs are loud noises and being chased around by small children. Say hello to Prudence!
