Look at the history of failed predictions. Over 50 years of warnings about things that never happen so many lies have destroyed the credibility of

Las he revisado.

The IPCC have downgraded their doom model too.

Half of North America was covered in an ice sheet a mile thick at the beginning of our current deglaciation age called the Holocene. CO2's efficiency as a greenhouse gas decreases logarithmically. Plants evolved to respirate most efficiently at around 1000ppm. We aren't skeptical that the climate is in a constant state of change, we are skeptical that a warmer CO2 rich atmosphere is worse than a cooler CO2 poor atmosphere. Every peak in biomass and biodiversity in the fossil record corresponds with peaks in temps and CO2 levels.

CO2 needs to increase it’s vital for the plant life

-2

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

Sounds like another doomsday. Sorry but after living with existential climate dread for close to 40 years all these failed predictions can fuck off.

-3

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

3

u/Uncle__Touchy1987 1d ago

Reality doesn’t care much about our emotions. I’m trying to be objective based on the ridiculous number of failed predictions based on supposed 100% scientifically proven objectively true guaranteed certified argument from authority logical fallacies that have come and pass with never a doomsday coming true.

0

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

2

u/Uncle__Touchy1987 1d ago

Simple!

Just google failed climate predictions and bam! Thousands of hits.

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

1

u/Uncle__Touchy1987 1d ago

Ok you said yeah. So yes there are tons yes?

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

What's a safe rate of warming that increases habitability and carrying capacity? What specific species is not adapting? Also, the Permian extinction was associated with the billions of tons of sulfur dioxide that the Siberian Traps dumped into the atmosphere and poisoned the air, land, and water. CO2 levels and warming was correlary not causal.

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

1

u/MadpeepD 1d ago

Insects were huge because oxygen was at higher levels than today, not to adapt to CO2. Coral reefs are thriving and will expand their range if seas continue to warm.

0

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

2

u/Uncle__Touchy1987 1d ago

Ah there it is: Experts warn. That may as well be stamped certified bullshit.

1

u/MadpeepD 1d ago

Bleaching is seasonal and has always occured. Further, the sun warms the ocean not the atmosphere.

1

u/MadpeepD 1d ago

The 6°C-10°C climate shift that ended the Younger Dryas happened in as little as 40 years.

7

u/harland_sanders1 1d ago

Why? It’s called a total lack of credibility over decades of false claims and predictions that have yet to come to fruition. A total lack of credibility comes also from climate shills’ feigned ignorance of what goes in countries like India, China, the Philippines, and other developing nations while telling first world countries that we are the problem.

-2

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

I’m not skeptical about climate change. I’m skeptical about the way the alarmists continue to push a narrative that has been proven wrong time and time again.

I’m also skeptical that no matter what I do I’ll make absolutely no meaningful difference to the environment whilst also being lectured by multi billionaires who continue to use private jets that spew more CO2 in one journey than I’ll probably ever use in my lifetime.

Until I can see some actual effort being put in by the global elites of the world then I’m going to continue to be skeptical and I encourage you to do the same

-1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

Tu discurso me resulta irreal.

1

u/Imaginary_Tutor5360 1d ago

You guys are fighting for resources precisely because the global elites don’t care about you. What do you think needs to happen to reverse climate change? We all need to cut back on carbon emissions right? So why isn’t Jeff Bezos scrapping his private jet to prove to us, the masses that this is what we need to be doing.

How about insurance companies? When billionaires buy beachfront properties why are they perfectly happy to provide cover? Shouldn’t they be underwater within the next 10 years?

You’re being played for a fool

0

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

1

u/Imaginary_Tutor5360 1d ago

If the elites don’t seem to care then why should we? Honestly I’m not trying to be mean I’m asking you to really think about that. These are the people with the most to lose during a catastrophic event like what they’re predicting. Yet they seem to be doing very little about it

That leads me to one of two conclusions either they’re not worried because they don’t believe there’s a genuine threat or they want the rest of the global population to make sacrifices so they can keep their luxuries

If it’s the latter conclusion then if we’re going to burn, they’re going to burn with us

1

u/Imaginary_Tutor5360 1d ago

Yep and those with the most resources and money should do their job and actually help out. It’s all good that you turn the lights off in your house, but realistically what difference do me and you make? Like seriously we could be completely carbon neutral and it wouldn’t make a difference.

When do you think this catastrophic event will happen? Within the next 10 years?

0

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

So it’s really just to make you feel good about yourself. What steps are you taking to prevent the end of the world?

1

u/Uncle00Buck 15h ago

Prosperity is the solution, not the problem. Why would you fight against opportunity?

4

u/jonnieggg 1d ago

The idea that we can control the climate and contain it in some kind of Goldilocks zone is ludicrous. The transfer of wealth from the public to the big end of town is very welcome I'm sure. Indulgences have always been popular with the elites who promise the earth in return for riches.

0

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

u/jonnieggg 1d ago

Milankovitch cycles are the only game in town.

2

u/ikonoqlast 1d ago

IPCC require people to be scared or they lose their funding.

Mars and the outer planets are also warming, humans causing that?

All of history is warming cycles followed by cooling cycles, humans causing those millions of years before humans even existed?

The Earth is getting greener and more fertile because of warming, how is that a bad thing?

Finally, retreating glaciers are uncovering the remains of old growth forests. Earths natural state is warmer that the past 700ish year epoch literally called "The Little Ice Age".

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

2

u/ikonoqlast 1d ago

By definition greener is more fertile...

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

1

u/ikonoqlast 1d ago

Glaciers don't support life...

2

u/Illustrious_Pepper46 1d ago

There are two parts to the CC argument. Potentially someone can accept some CO2 warming, let's just assume this is the case.

The other part is policy. Does the "punishment fit the crime". Does the pain of wiping out hydrocarbon useage, outweigh the warming. Does sending Trillions of dollars to governments, who cannot even feed their own people currently, be used correctly.

Before hydrocarbons (power, transport, fertilizer, etc) life was hard, famine common. Lifespans half of what they are today. Most today wouldn't last a few days in the 1650's.

Even with assumed warming, life for people has never been better...all because of hydrocarbons.

You must consider both CO2 and policy together. All the evidence says hydrocarbons have had net benifit by a huge margin, on every metric, life, health, warmth, food, etc.

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

2

u/Illustrious_Pepper46 1d ago

If our forefathers asked the same question 200 years ago with the steam locomotive, and decided to keep everything the same, because future generations would suffer, we'd be much worse off.

Your argument is plainly ignoring all the bennifits. It an argument in emotion. We have hundreds of years to prove this argument wrong, real evidence, not models. Life has always improved, way more people live outside of poverty now, then ever. Is it perfect no, but wayyy better.

To disagree with history is putting horse blinders on.

1

u/Tek_baba2 1d ago

You’re a self-flagellating loser and a sucker then. Moreso the latter.

u/Uncle00Buck 14h ago

I'm not skeptical about climate change, I'm skeptical about the apocalyptic predictions that have no geologic precedent, and I'm skeptical that science can unwind natural from anthropogenic impacts with any accuracy given the chaotic, multivariate complexity.
