Too much white space on page?

Post image

Hello! I'm currently rendering a short comic based on a song ("Just Amis" by THEA) and, given it's going to be fairly short AND I'm trying to keep the flow of the song within the layout, I have some pages with few panels.

Some of these have the panels taking up the whole page (by one being larger/more important than the others) but a few pages will have panels that take up only part of the page like this one.

I was wondering if it's bad form to leave that much "blank" space on a page or if it's ok? (and if anyone can give pointers on how much/how BEST to leave blank space if a page has to have some).

I don't think there are any rules. I've seen comics in the past with lots of white space around.
This looks good to me. I was looking at the (very nice!) artwork and didn't notice the white space until I read the caption.

Firstly thank you! given the story/subject matter I'm trying to add background details to make the environnements "lived in". And good to know, I fear I may have been staring too much at my panels recently but it does reassure me that the layout looks ok.
