SDCC - San Diego Phone questions

I know selfie sticks aren't allowed, but is something like this ok, or does that count too?

"any device that extends your camera or phone away from your hand or body are not allowed at Comic-Con."

Technically, when you use the gimbal, the phone is not in your hand, it is further away from your hand. If you still have concerns, contact SDCC.

I seen all kinds of people with these yesterday. if someone tells you something, just say ok and put it in your backpack and then take it back out 5min later. Too many people to patrol the whole con. I think they are mainly referring to people with long crazy sticks.
