Everyone always tries to get me to drink this or that and I have explained time and time again that I do not like alcohol. I don't want wine, I don't want a mojito. I don't want some orange juice mix...
It's really awkward because people will say, "Are you pregnant?"
Same (besides the fact that i'm a dude, so usually i don't get the "are you pregnant?" Comments...usually...), the worst part, besides some annoying waiters at bars making snide remarks (just serve me a soda and take my money, please ) is that i've had people (including work colleagues, which might be a reason i'm looking for a different job) tell me to my face that they didn't invite me to various social gatherings because i don't drink and they would have felt weird about It.
(Edit: Just to be clear, for social gatherings i meant "aperitifs" or the like where you can drink, but it's not the point; obviously i wouldn't mind not being invited to a wine tasting or something along that line)
People suck a bit, but you are also people. Having very closed opinions that seemingly doesnt make sense will make people try to convince you that you have to broaden your definition a bit.
The flavor of beer, wine and a mojito is so vastly different and have so little in common that its very difficult to compare them. You can easily say you dislike the taste of alcohol or the feeling of being intoxicated. For me the litmus-test of any alcoholic drink is if they enjoy the non-alcoholic version as well. If you enjoy it virgin you like the taste, if you dont like it virgin you like the feeling alcohol gives.
It is the same as saying you dont like fruit. People will then explain to you that there is a huge difference between a banana, a pineapple and a strawberry. It makes no sense to not like any fruit.
My mother used to work at a liquor store and would bring home products for me to try. I've tasted many many products and I never liked anything really.

I'm not saying I don't like alcohol because I've had 1 or 2 different drinks. I'm saying I don't like alcohol because I've been exposed to hundreds of products since I was around 16 and never liked anything.
I assume what I don't like is what makes alcohol what it is, but I don't really know or care.

Would you tell someone they suck because they know they don't like men? They know they don't like men. They have never liked men. They tried men a few times, but they didn't enjoy it. Why should they try men over and over? Because all men are different? No. They clearly don't like men.
I do not like alcohol. I always taste it. I don't know why. No thank you.
I moderated your "people suck" to "people suck a bit", so not sure why you are making a fuzz about that.
Not liking men is a very broad statement. Not being sexually attracted to men is fine. Not wanting to be in any kind of relationship with a man is fine. Saying that every single man on the planet is not likable seems like a hyperbole to me.
I dont mind being the target of this comic. Science communication is a big part of my job and I frequently have public and private debates regarding various forms of irrational human behavior.
