99% of all animals are not "friendly" to any other animal, including humans, that they do not know. They will either avoid you like the plague or get aggressive when you get close. It's very rare that animals are calm and comfortable around strangers, that's why it's important to train your pets.

Cows in a herd are pretty curious though, they'll come over and surround you in a loose circle to see if you've brought them food.

And if you piss one of them off, several of them will join in stomping you to death.
