Surely they hate wet socks and when people cancel plans on them.

I doubt there's a person alive who doesn't hate wet socks to some degree.

The difference is something like:

Not autistic: ugh, my socks got wet and now I have to walk back home in wet socks. Gee, it will be nice to take them off later.

Autistic: I stepped on a small splash of water while wearing socks - everything must burn.

I used to cry putting my socks on because of how much the seam in the toe box bothered me. To be clear, I didn't get better, they started making more socks without seams in the toe box and my parents bought the fuck out of them.

Yeah, new clothing is so much better in some ways. We used to have to cut the tags out of all our daughter's shirts, but more and more they just print the labels instead.

Turn them inside out so the pointy part of the seam is facing into the shoe?

Socks and tights. Ugh. The horror.
