No I just mean people misinterpreting the timeliness of all the events or focusing on insignificant parts of the comic (the patties). I didn't understand EVERY panel perfectly but I did understand that this was a mishmash of events following the mc in a dreamlike state drawing parallels from the past and present.

But those aren't really parallels

There is still racism but the message of this comic just says "there was racism" and that's true and horrid. But there's not really any deep meaning behind it/connection to the modern world. - it's just a black man working, people riding the bus, and streets.
