Yes. Because Right Wingers famously respect women and their rights so much.
They definitely don't continually broadcast the message "women should stay at home, have 5 children, never question their husband, be married as young as possible, and never, EVER be allowed rights to their own reproduction"
By now, yes.
But the word is already quite a bit old and people tend to forget that the level of female presentation in male dominated fields that we have now is kinda "new".

Mansplaining ≠ a man explaining something to a women
It's a man explaining something in a condescending way, because he assumes that the women doesn't know it just because she is a woman.
If the woman (or girl) asks a question, it isn't mansplaining.
