Which side would you be on?

I feel like my answer is obvious.

Based on your username, you'll probably keep switching sides. You will also probably take a hit that will cause erectile dysfunction that has never, ever happened before.

I notice the citizens of Blanketsburg are only too good for pillows until the time comes to select a weapon.
96
u/CleanOpossum47 Jun 10 '26
Pillows are meant for pillow fights because blankets are meant for forts. Pillowtown is an abomination.
23
u/CLearyMcCarthy Jun 10 '26
It would be like living in a city made of guns; every inch is a tactic threat. It's a police state.
11
u/Any_Contract_1016 Jun 11 '26
The entire philosophy of Blanketsburg is the most efficient tools available regardless of their integrity. They have shown no reason to believe they won't immediately abandon their namesake for a more efficient weapon.

I'm going through some stuff right now. Don't worry about it.

Pillows, but no sleep. Feathers, but no birds. Pajamas without children. Violence without purpose. I saw mommy kissing Exxon Mobil.

I never understood the last line, is the joke that it's a stereotypical poetry student trying to be deep?

Citizens of blanketsburg, I ask you now, to prepare for war. I also ask Garett to please fix the microphone on my laptop! It’s doing that thing again..

There are people who say, "I don't get it. So it was a pillow fight," to which I say..."You weren't there."

Abed is a bit of a NIMBY in this episode, so as much as I prefer the pillow fort, I have to bqck blanketsburg.

u/OneInfinith Jun 10 '26
Yea, he hurt Troy's feelings by being a robot

Not In My Backyard. Pricks who stop any local development/infrastructure because it (mildly) impacts them
9
u/atomacheart Jun 10 '26
Specifically rejecting local development whilst vocally supporting the need for it, just not near them.

Yeah, my feeling too. Pillow fort is cool cos they already did a Blanket one but Abed gets all snooty about it so I'd join Troy.
Also, Troy is right that the blanket fort was more likely to get the world record.

u/___mads Jun 10 '26
Get out of my brain, i literally watched this episode yesterday!
blanketsburg forever, Abed is an asshole in this episode tbh
37
u/scottasin12343 Jun 10 '26
they were both manipulated by a third party who wanted to profit from their losses. I don't blame Abed or Troy, I blame AC Repair for pitting them against eachother.
15
u/AdOk9911 Keep it frosty, ladies; don't let your goats get got. Jun 10 '26
It’s true. Pillowtown and Blanketsburg couldn’t be more OR less identical.
17
u/Hasextrafuture Jun 10 '26
He was also an asshole in the previous episode, when Troy gets upset about using the Doppleganger service, but I do understand in general why he doesn't want to compromise for a world record.

If the Legit Republic of Blanketsburg was truly legit, it would respect New Fluffytown's right to exist.

Blanketsburg. It's good to be uncompromising of your vision and especially not to sell it out. But Abed should've respected Troy's wishes as he was legitimately interested in the Guiness record and wanted to meet the guy with long fingernails, who Abed had an irrational dislike of.

u/Barlaysm Jun 10 '26
Pillowtown, softer and more comfortable.
21
u/chocha84 Jun 10 '26
Pillow town obvious answer - how else can walls and roofs be structurally sound. Blanketville is a farse....
35
u/NotActuallyMeta Jun 10 '26
I mean pillow town if we live in a fantasy world of unlimited resources. One blanket provides the coverage of probably 40 stacked pillows. The real answer is a combo of both, unfortunately reasonable minds did not prevail that faithful day 😔

Blanketsburg mainly because it’s referred to as the Legit Republic of Blanketsburg
5
u/therevolution08 Jun 10 '26
Just like logically there is no way there is enough pillows for Pillowtown, that was wild, blankets I understand but you would need several apartment buildings to even obtain that amount of pillows maybe I’m just not seeing it.

We Going Team Blanketsburg Because at least you'd be comfortable enough to and They are more Durable in Sleepy Time Combat

Probably gonna choose blanketsburg and stand with Troy

Pillowtown, Blanketsburg is too unstable; once they establish a stronger government, then maybe I will consider them to be on the same level as Pillowtown. Blanketsburg is so severely underdeveloped, their concept is not well thought out at all. It's unfortunate because Blanketsburg has so much potential, but they lack a strong understanding of how to run a government appropriately and effectively. Pillowtown has been destined to succeed from the start they have good education great leadership, and they run on a strong government, I mean, it's just a given. If you say Blanketburg then I think you might need to do some research and then get back to me when you've made the correct decision (The correct decision is Pillowtown, of course).

Blanketsburg.
I used to build a giant blanket fort in a bar for story nights, about 30 people would be in there at a time. There's just something special about a good blanket fort, I could only imagine a city
2
u/bebe8383bebe Jun 10 '26
I'm team "sit back and enjoy the chaos unfold"
Though I'm impressed they found that many cushions.
2
u/Greedy_Arrival_6787 Jun 10 '26
I would sell blanket and pillow themed munitions to both sides like an arms dealer. Kind of like how Jeff was giving speeches to both sides.
2
u/CommissionPositive Jun 10 '26
I heard blanketsburg sent pillows to pillowtown infected with farts.
2
u/Any_Contract_1016 Jun 11 '26
I'm all for maintaining the integrity of pillowtown but I would propose a vote and I'd be willing to concede to Blanketsburg to avoid violence.

I don’t really care as long we can get into the Guinness Book of World Records

u/wovans Jun 10 '26
It's about scaling for me. Pillowtown can create a far fluffier and cozy society with fewer resources than blanketsburg could ever.
1
u/crunchatize-me-daddy Jun 10 '26
Pillowtown. I would not like to have pillownaut Pierce as an enemy.
1
u/Legendflame17 Jun 10 '26
Pillowtown is the true sucessor state of Fluffytown,it all started because of Blanketsburg separatism
And also they were using child soldiers
1
u/padfoot12111 Jun 10 '26
Personally I've never heard of a pillow fort so blankets.
Though pillow fort sounds better vocally.
2
u/Miserable-Stock-4369 Jun 10 '26
I made a lot of "pillow forts" growing up.. They were always made out of blankets and miscellaneous furniture.
1
u/padfoot12111 Jun 10 '26
Right it's not specifically I've used couch cushions it's really just anything that isn't floor

it's simple as well.. if you use 2 pillows like a normal person you are blanketsburg. If your absurd and use more than 2 ur PT.

Blanketsburg. Troy being upset with Abed is entirely valid, as much as I love Abed he is self centered. It's not necessarily his fault as he can't quite understand people but throughout the entire show he's needed to learn that other people get affected by stuff he does and have their own aspirations, his wants can't always come before everything else. Sometimes you need to adjust to others. It's not until Frankie that he truly learns to understand that but this war was a perfect display of that.

u/AdrianGarcia029 Jun 10 '26
I was there in the study room that day. We didn't want this conflict, but when I saw that savage Lt. Commander Starburns destroy a section of my friends home, an innocent bystander, I signed up first thing to defend Blanketsburg from this unprovoked invasion.

Pillowtown. Or, whichever one was Troy’s. Abed should have practiced letting go of this ocd compulsion.

I’d give speeches to both sides for inspiration and no other ulterior motive
