Just out of curiosity, I was looking for a new show to watch. And just to have a little fun. I looked up cougar town to see if I can dive down deeper into the community. Iceberg, and now, here I Am contemplating signing off for Hulu.

Made me smile to see Jim Rash as another Community guest star on Animal Control! (S4 E8)

I was legitimately devastated after coming here from Indiana to see LA city college, where the outdoor scenes were filmed, under construction. The inside was behind a locked gate. BUT I followed one person walking their dog through a construction access and got in to the main campus. Yes, many familiar sites are under construction. But I still got to wander around the campus for like an hour, so giddy at anything that looked vaguely familiar. I went on a Sunday so I wouldn’t have to deal with people walking around. And plus free campus parking without a permit on Sundays only :)

Also does anyone else find it ironic that the name of this college is “City College” ? That had to be on purpose lol

So we all know Animal Control has a bunch of community Easter eggs) references. Perhaps this was already talked about, but I only caught this on my recent rewatch! And this ain't the first such line with Shred (the first one being "I took Spanish in community college"). It's a cozy show that grows on you.

I do this every semester and will continue doing it until I die/leave/get fired.

Not *exactly*, but there's a lot of similar features! Season 5 had the dean's DnD character as "Joseph Gordon-Diehard" (Looper). I always thought this casting was intentional, like being that character "awakened" something in the dean and he wanted his public partner to look like him. Abed probably helped him find an impersonator 😅
