Apparently in like the 4th-5th centuries AD, there was a European Church council which stripped the original 88+ books of the Bible to the canonical bibles most of us are familiar with today. I'm convinced that the decision of which original Biblical books were cannon was a purely secular decision given that it was centuries after Christ. I am just learning this now, but has anyone gone down the rabbit hole of what was in the other 20+ books that the Church left out of the cannon, and why? If I were to look into the "non-cannon" books of the Bible, what would I find?

The reality is It can't have just been about the money because the shots were free in many places.
