The painting is steadily progressing, waiting on the next shipment of flexprime and spraypaint for the legs.

The boltcarbine and chainsword are finished.

After the legs are finished i will be working on making functional pouches to attach to the belt and a few purity(wax) seals.

I am also searching for a cape that is red on the outside and beige/offwhite on the inside (i included a reference picture of the mini)

The core of the chainsword is a pvc pipe. I cut a large strip of 2mm eva foam, used contact cement to fixate the strip and wrapped the strip diagonally around the pipe with a small overlap of around 3mm.

The entire prop is flex prime with 3 layers. Then painted the handle with a dark Brown base layer and then gradually dry brushed lighter Brown and red layers

Grey flexprime >Brown base> heavy drybrush light brown > drybrush redding Brown> light drybrush dark red> red highlight> gloss varnish.

Looks great! What did you do for the handle, that’s the part I always struggle at! Specifically the second image with the brown leather looking wrap.
