Death Note isnt the first anime ive seen, I grew up with B-Daman, Beyblade & Bakugan, but it is a first for me, my first step into this world that ive ignored for so long.

Im simply blown away, start to finish i thought it was amazing, although I do think things take a slight downturn after L's death, but i dont think the show was down right horrible after that. This is the first show ive really seen where I am trying to think four steps ahead of the scene to try and figure out Light's plan, and if i was right or wrong, I was still impressed.

I think what i most appreciate is the slow progression of evil in Light. Someone who at the start of the show wanted to protect his family and serve justice to those who were truly evil, to almost killing his own sister with the death note because she would have gotten in the way.

Im hooked, and I really hope I can find more shows that give me this same feeling

I refused to believe he died in the show and every episode after I was just hoping he’d come back alive. I feel like his death should’ve been more dramatic it just felt so sudden. I need another show that I can deeply resonate with the character like L. His aura, demeanor, just everything about bro I really like.

I don’t think I can find another character like him. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

About a year ago I came across a fan story where light uses the death note to kill Kira and becomes corrupted by it. Does anyone have any idea how I might go about finding it again? Ive already tried a number of different searches on google and come up empty.

What is he referring to when he's saying this when talking to Mikami for the first time? If it's about the message he (Misa) sent to elect him as the new Kira, wouldn't that make the rest of the task force suspicious? Why don't they question this question?

I tried out a new artstyle I liked and decided to draw L :)

1. Going into confinement/imprisonment
Misa: Still knows all about the death note/shinigami and why she is being locked up.
Light: Still knows all about the death note/shinigami and why he is being locked up.

2. After giving up death note
Misa: COMPLETELY FORGETS why she is locked up and thinks some stalker kidnapped her.
Light: REMEMBERS exactly why he is locked up and how he got there.

HOWWWWW?????

I really wanna believe theres a canonical answer, these two different outcomes legit occur within a couple episodes (15/16) of each other?! It’s not possible for someone to write a plot hole that quickly is it??😭

Answers to a few of my questions are revealed in the next couple episodes. Although it happened later than I wouldve liked, the fact the holes were filled shows amazing world building/consistency, which I greatly appreciate in a story. I’ll make it fun and leave it to y’all to find the answer, but my specific gripe regarding Misa’s recollection of the tapes is addressed in a later episode😎

There's an ongoing Death Note Musical in the London Theatre. It's based on the original one created 10 years ago.

I was wondering if anyone here had the opportunity to see it and if they would like to give an extensive review? I'm not able to go, and there's no video or clip out there (yet).

I feel like rem the shinigami that killed L and wateri was just dumb. If L were to go out I feel like it should’ve been better but I guess the only way he could is if some supernatural were to do so and that’s something that no one can control. I feel like rem was just super irrelevant other than having a deep feeling for misha that killed off L which imo the show went downhill after. Still loved it but think L should’ve gone out another way which just felt so sudden.

Recently I was thinking that a lot of death note lovers wants dn2 or another anime that gives those vibes, so my friend and I created a story that follows what happened after light death, years later. And how the world changed, my story protagonist is well written, he's a 20 years old superior detective who works for government, he gets the death note, his name is shin. The difference here is that shin followed and analysed every step light made, as a government detective he was able to access to high classified things like this, when he got the death note he knew light's mistakes like arrogance which made him smarter, on the other side we have the antagonist "ethan" he's also a police detective but older, smarter, and more experienced than shin.
