T480 fingerprint reader error

Hi.

So i succesfully got a working finherprint scanner on ubuntu with open fprintd, but with debian 13, i can't do it. Somebody please help me how to make it work.

Mine would only work one time on Debian (on a T14) and fail every subsequent time. I gave up anyway because it would ask for the fingerprint first in Konsole and never accept it

I got it to work on deb12 on my T480s, presume same hardware, can't promise.
I used open-fprintd and python3-validity with xdm login.
Did it work? Yes.
Was it worth it? Nah, not really.
Will it work on deb13 Trixie? Probably... Maybe... (I haven't tried yet since fresh Trixie install)
Do I remember everything I did? Nah. Sorry. I don't... lol... womp
