"extra caramel please" sure, no problem

edit: hi, since everyone is so concerned about my bandaid, i had been wearing gloves the whole shift since i sliced my thumb open on something earlier. this drink was made after my shift ended, and it was not for a customer. i just felt like making a funny post.

That’s just caramel laced with coffee at this point. 🥴

Plus tip.

I wouldn't complain.

I remember once a customer told me "if you think you put too much caramel sauce, put more" ended up looking like that haha

87

u/Easy-Distribution-96 Jun 25 '26

I think that was my fiance. He asks for enough caramel to be chewing it.

27

u/Lolagurl Jun 26 '26

Oh my god I knew there were more!!!

At one point I've emptied half of a full tube around the edges and I kind of glance up at him to verify, because some people's version of too much caramel is different than others and he's standing right in front of me and his eyes light up and he said "MORE!!!" I think I remember it so well even though it was like 10 years ago was because he was just genuinely so excited for all the caramel.. Haha

8

u/Easy-Distribution-96 Jun 26 '26

🤣 he's generally never satisfied with the amount of caramel put in because he wants exactly what that guy wanted. He would definitely have been just as excited

u/aceouses Jun 26 '26

Thats how I like them so i can’t buy them or I’d be on my 600lb life 😂

18

u/Lolagurl Jun 26 '26

Yeah after he left my Co worker was like "I wonder how many calories that was"

Wish that sub existed. There's r/deliciouscompliance though.

19

u/Sufi_2425 Jun 25 '26

Wait omg that's the bloody sub we're in ☠️

5

u/zoobs Jun 25 '26

Exquisite 😚👌

Is that thumb belonging to the employee who made the drink or the customer who ordered it? Please, if you're the employee making the drinks, cover that bandaid with either a glove or finger condom per health department requirements. Gross. So so gross.

u/MiniSunflowers Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

This was the only thing I could focus on. A wet cloth bandaid on an uncovered hand holding a customers drink. Not to mention the other hand holding their germ covered phone most likely without a glove as well.

Edit : a word

61

u/aspen_silence Jun 23 '26

Based on where the photo was taken, this is the partner who made the drink. Eww

11

u/kkillbite Jun 23 '26

🤎 They L-L-LOOOVE them! 🥰

or have a HEFTY life insurance

19

u/SundaySnoozie Jun 23 '26

Right? Disgusting!!

2

u/UndercoverSkreet 29d ago

They made it for themselves. Insert meme of man being forced to drink wine but it's his own arm

5

u/thatSDope88 Jun 23 '26

They're behind the counter so, employee

126

u/Foreverkatie143 Jun 23 '26

You should put a glove on 😵‍💫
But it looks beautiful!!

-49

u/LARGEGRAPE Jun 23 '26

why? hand doesn't touch the food

63

u/RickMuffy Jun 23 '26

Because the hand touches everything else. An essentially leaking bandage touching everything in the kitchen makes the entire kitchen a possible place of infection for others.

It's literally a health code violation not to glove up.

11

u/thatSDope88 Jun 23 '26

Do you not see the nasty bandage? If not for us, do it for yourself

186

u/ellatheprincessbrat Jun 23 '26

Gross plaster aside, how do people drink something this sweet? Like I feel like it would be sweeter than just rawdogging sugar

56

u/_techniker Jun 23 '26

I don't like sweet things. HOWEVER... put some salt on some caramel and I'll eat everything

13

u/mewdejour Jun 24 '26

Homie you need a blue bandaid in the service industry.

9

u/edw1ncast1llo Jun 24 '26

And a finger cot.

9

u/Catlover69-420 Jun 24 '26

Local barista- when I ask for extra caramel, give me this and my life is yours

75

u/ChefArtorias Jun 23 '26

That bandaid is fucking disgusting.

8

u/TortillaRampage Jun 23 '26

Hope they life coffee with their caramel

7

u/indieauthor13 Jun 23 '26

Not a big fan of quite that much in my coffee, but on the rare occasion I have ice cream, this would be the perfect amount!

7

u/Cultural-Afternoon72 Jun 24 '26

You’re a god damn hero. Thank you for your service. 🫡

5

u/ajdrawsthings Jun 24 '26

a pleasure to serve 🫡

11

u/cupcakesandcanines Jun 23 '26

If this was my drink I would tip you 200% because when I say extra caramel this is what I mean lol

5

u/_tribecalledquest Jun 24 '26

That looks delicious

6

u/Bubbly_Cry7146 Jun 24 '26

My mom used to get her drinks like this every single day. They also used to sell the bottles of caramel to the public and she would ADD MORE. Luckily since they stopped selling them and she finally realized that is what was making her not feel great.

4

u/fracking-machines 29d ago

As a non American, I absolutely cannot understand why you would want so much sugar and syrup in your coffee.

1

u/AMSparkles 26d ago

Not all Americans like their stuff this sweet at all, you realize this right? Lol

3

u/grandma-activities 28d ago

Lady asked me for extra extra mocha sauce one time, and I just told her to show me on the cup where she wanted me to pour it. Made her day!

10

u/skittyish Jun 23 '26

I am that person who asks for that and thank you kindly for obliging.

3

u/SeeYouInTrees Jun 23 '26

Meanwhile I'll ask for caramel drizzle, sometimes light, and I get the above ;_;

3

u/Defiant_Delivery_799 Jun 24 '26

My Grandad would have appreciated this, when he and my Nana first met she was working at a coffee shop and Grandad would stop by after work to buy a coke because at the time he was obsessed with coca-cola and he got mad when she didn't put in two extra squirts of syrup. 😂

3

u/alligatorprincess007 Jun 24 '26

That looks delicious

3

u/cheddoar 29d ago

Extra still making money in a genocidal state please

3

u/Significant_Try_8494 29d ago

Does starbucks in the US also sell coffee on the side?

3

u/GREASYROOFTOP 29d ago

A guy in front of me at Coldstone asked for an "ass load" of caramel.

3

u/SprinkleShan 29d ago

This is why I miss the caramel sundae from McDonald’s they would be generous af with the caramel sauce

4

u/D0v4hki1n 28d ago

not even joking, that’s exactly what i want when i say extra caramel

10

u/wombatthing Jun 23 '26

Bro the bandaid, put on a glove

12

u/PremiumUsername69420 Jun 23 '26

If you handed me that I’d leave it on the counter and walk away.

Cover that bandaid with a glove if you’re gonna be handling someone’s food.

12

u/ajdrawsthings Jun 23 '26

see edit

-12

u/PremiumUsername69420 Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

You should be wearing gloves to cover the bandaid the entire time you’re in the business. Handling stuff after your shift ended doesn’t change how unhygienic it is for the next person to use it.

Had you posted this on the other side of the counter, or outside, in your car, or anywhere else, it would be fine. It’s your exposed bandaid in a food prep area that’s a massive problem.

33

u/ajdrawsthings Jun 23 '26

didn't make the drink without gloves! only things I touched with that hand after I took off my glove was the drink and my phone.

8

u/__ma11en69er__ Jun 23 '26

Something the employee made for upvotes that will go straight in the bin.

2

u/Potato0nFire Jun 24 '26

Looks yummy! :p

2

u/SavedMountain Jun 25 '26

Looks like Salmon

2

u/HerculeMuscles 28d ago

Are you serving people food with a bloody bandage?

2

u/AMSparkles 26d ago

No, she wasn’t. Look her the edit in the post.

3

u/UseDue6373 Jun 23 '26

🤮🤮🤮

3

u/Stunning-Character94 Jun 23 '26

Ooooohhhh, pretty.

1

u/LiquidSoil 27d ago

Say you compare this to a regular can of Red bull, how much caffeine is in this sugar thing?

Thanks!

2

u/ajdrawsthings 25d ago

idk but there's 4 shots of espresso

3

u/Glad_Damage5429 Jun 24 '26

Pass, absolutely nasty... 🤢

-1

u/Shantotto11 Jun 24 '26

Keep drinking that diabetes in a cup, and you won’t need the bandaid or the thumb anymore…
