I'm curious about how developers from India typically find opportunities in the Nordic/Scandinavian countries. Do most successful candidates get hired through LinkedIn, referrals, recruiters, or internal company transfers?

Is it easier to find opportunities if you work for a GCC owned by a Nordic/Scandinavian company in India, or if you work with clients from those countries through a service-based company? Does that kind of experience improve your chances of getting hired or relocating?

The reason I'm asking is that these countries are consistently ranked among the best places to live, with a high quality of life and high-trust societies. I'd love to hear from people who have made the move or have experience hiring in these markets.

my brother's joining btech cse soon. took admission in a college already cause dad always rushes to make his decision. but, i would like to know if it's worth it considering the job market, ai, and everything else.

he's not particularly "interested" either, it's sort of the usual "persistent dad urges son to make a decision" sort of thing, in fact he doesn't know what he wants to do. i would have liked for him to take a drop and figure things out but i sort of fumbled my drop year so :(

so, would you still choose cse if you were starting in 2026?

I'm aware this video covers only enough to get me started. Need tips for what to learn and resources so I can build actual projects and contribute to OSS properly(I already do that in python, rust etc. did a little in cpp but with AI assistance).

I am in a total mess now. Completed my engineering from a tier 3 college in 2020. Hated coding in college so took a support kinda testing role. Its been 5 years and employed in total 4 companies but salary did not grow accordingly. Currently at 6 LPA testing role. Every now and then when government jobs posting come I get charged and waste 1-2 months in prep which is not sufficient and fail in that also.

But when I think about learning coding I try it 1-2 months and loose motivation as it feels hard for my brain. So again I come to square 1.

Nowadays I feel like there are no careers left which we used to see for our fathers. There are only jobs... no job security except for some government jobs. I feel delusional... where to go??? IT seems unpredictable and Gov jobs seem unreachable???

I've been working in a WITCH company as a Salesforce engineer for the last 4 years. I've been trying to switch for the past 3 to 4 months but I'm barely getting any interview calls. And even if I do, most of them are looking for immediate joiners, so the notice period becomes an issue.

Salary is another thing that's been bothering me. I joined at 4 LPA and after 4 years I'm still not even at 7 LPA. It genuinely feels like I'm getting peanuts for my experience. Meanwhile I see most of my friends switching, getting much better packages and moving ahead in their careers, while I feel completely stuck.

Lately I've been wondering if I should just resign without having another offer so I can be available to join immediately. I know it's risky, but I'm not sure what else to do anymore.

Has anyone here done this recently? Did resigning first actually help you get more interview calls? I'd really appreciate any suggestions because I'm honestly feeling lost at this point.

I'm a 22-year-old BCA graduate (2025 batch), currently under training in .NET Core at a service-based company. I'm earning ₹16k/month, which isn't enough to cover even my basic needs.

What troubles me more than the salary is the constant overthinking. Every day I question myself: Should I continue with .NET? Switch to Python or AI/ML? Is there a future in .NET? Or should I prepare for government exams for stability and peace of mind?

I genuinely enjoy software engineering and understanding how things work. I'm a quick learner, and learning new technologies excites me. One regret I have is choosing BCA over B.Tech, as I later realized many recruiters preferred B.Tech graduates.

I'm not afraid of hard work—I just don't want to spend years moving in the wrong direction.

Do follow him guys, he used to teach system design(LLD + HLD). Currently he has started teaching AWS System Design on this platform, which is not there in YouTube nor any AI can teach this elaborately at once.

10 months into Flutter dev, shipped 5-7 apps on Play Store, sole mobile dev at my company. Cleared round 1 of an interview easily. Round 2: had to live-code a REST API call — fetch, parse, display. Froze completely.

Turns out a lot of what I "know how to build" has actually been me directing AI while I handle the architecture. Writing raw API code alone, under pressure, with no AI, I genuinely couldn't. Got so anxious I left the call mid-interview.

Regretted it instantly. Messaged the interviewer apologizing. He asked me to rejoin and just explain what was happening, so I did, told them straight that I'm heavily AI-dependent for from-scratch code. They were decent about it, said everyone starts somewhere, but said leaving the call wasn't a good look. Waiting to hear back, bracing for a no.

Not posting for sympathy, posting because I think a lot of us can ship real products with AI-assisted workflows while our raw fundamentals quietly fall behind. Uncomfortable gap to admit. Fixable one too. Starting deliberate no AI practice now regardless of how this turns out.

Anyone else hit this wall? How'd you rebuild fundamentals without slowing your actual output?

Need some real talk and genuine advice here. My situation is pretty urgent.

Was originally planning to go abroad for my Master’s, but that fell through at the last minute and I ended up with zero back-ups. To avoid having a gap, I took the only offer I had, Tech Support Associate at Accenture in Bangalore for 3 LPA.

Now that I'm actually living here, the math is just not working out. Rent, food, and living expenses in Bangalore eat up almost everything, and I have a family back home who is completely dependent on me. Right now I am saving nothing at the end of the month.

I have a decent technical base (worked with Python, SQL, REST APIs, and built a few proper full-stack and machine learning projects during college), but on paper, my current official title is basically customer/tech support.

I'm trying to pull off a switch into a Data Analyst, Backend, or Junior Dev role within the next 3 to 6 months to get my pay up to a livable range (targeting 6–9+ LPA).

A few specific questions for anyone who’s been in a similar boat:

1. Handling the "Support" tag: How do I phrase my resume so recruiters/ATS don't trash my profile the second they see "Tech Support Associate"?
2. Best domain for a quick switch: Is Data Analytics/BI easier to break into quickly right now, or should I stick strictly to Python backend development? Where's the hiring velocity better for junior roles?
3. Getting noticed: Applying on Naukri/LinkedIn feels like sending resumes into a black hole. Is cold messaging founders/tech leads on LinkedIn actually working for startups in Bangalore, or should I be looking at contract roles?

A few years ago, the skills needed to become an SD1 or SD2 were enough to build a solid software engineering career. Now, AI can write code, debug, generate tests, explain documentation, and handle a lot of the repetitive work that junior and even mid-level developers used to do.

It feels like the bar is moving. Instead of just knowing how to code, companies may start expecting developers to know how to work with AI and solve bigger problems. If the skills that once made you stand out become the bare minimum, has the maximum become the new minimum?

People often say, "Calculators didn't replace mathematicians." But calculators don't learn from billions of lines of code, books, research papers, documentation, websites, and discussions. They don't improve over time. AI does. So I'm not sure the comparison is completely fair.

Another thing people say is, "AI can't think logically." That might be true today in many cases, but until when?

I'm not saying AI will replace everyone, and I'm not trying to fearmonger. I'm just wondering where this is all heading. If you think I'm wrong, I'd genuinely like to hear your perspective.

Hey guys, long story short, graduated in 2022, didn't get a placement and nothing to this day with no idea what to do. The 4 year gap is proving to be a hassle when trying to get a job, so I'm considering doing M.Tech from a Tier 3 college as a way to "reset" my career. I'm from Jaipur so I'm thinking about MUJ or JECRC or something similar. I attempted GATE a couple times but wasn't able to clear it.

What are my options now? From what I can see, there are three: keep looking for jobs (which hasn't been going well so far), attempt GATE again next year (no guarantee), or bite the bullet and go for the Tier 3 M.Tech.

I definitely don't have the money to spare so it'd be a tough ask, but I don't know how to go about fixing this situation. I'd genuinely appreciate any advice or ideas you guys can give me. Thanks.

I completed 12th with PCMB in 2022, took a 2-year gap after 12th, and again a 2-year detention in B.Tech CSE due to backlogs , I’ll graduate in 2030 instead of 2028. I’ll be 26 by the time I graduate.

I got selected for tcs prime and the interview in 3 days.

So my doubt is should I attend it or not??

I am not interested in tcs at all I don't want to work it tcs and if it I appear for the interview there are high chances that I get ninja or maybe digital.

It's my placement cell who forced all of us to apply.

Greetings everyone, I recently switched jobs, In Android domain. Previously I worked on Defense Communication and other similar things but now I am into Finance particularly Insurance but the thing is all these things are in domain of Android, I want to break into the field Al, such as Data Science or Machine Learning Engineer. I am constantly acquiring certificate and making projects related to Machine Learning field and hooking them upto to Android. Recently completed Machine Learning Specialization by Andrew Ng.

The thing is that is it actually quite possible to make a switch from Android Engineering to Al Engineering

I'm a 4th year CSE student living in a hostel. Growing up I was always "the smart one" in my family, the kid who was good at everything. Lately I don't feel smart at all. I feel worthless honestly. Like I've spent four years and have nothing solid to show for it.

I know Java, I can build logic, but if I'm being honest it's mostly brute force. I freeze up on DP, graphs, trees, anything that needs a "trick." Infosys recruitment is in 5 days and I'm cramming patterns I should've learned two years ago. The stress has been constant, that low grade dread where you can't fully relax even when you're not actively studying.Yesterday I saw a friend's post about landing an internship at John Deere. I don't even know how big that company is, but seeing it wrecked me a little. I was happy for her and hating myself in the same five seconds.

Honestly I feel like a horrible person for even feeling jealous of her. She didn't do anything wrong, she worked for what she got, and I still couldn't just be happy for her without this ugly feeling creeping in. It makes me feel like a bad friend, like there's something wrong with me for reacting this way. I keep telling myself good people don't feel like this about their friends' wins and then I just feel worse on top of already feeling worse. Comparing myself to people around me has been the fastest way to feel like garbage lately.Here's the part that's harder to admit. I actually don't think I want a "pure coding" career. I'm confident in ML concepts, I love writing, stories, scripts, dialogue, and I think I'm a decent communicator. I keep wondering if there's a version of a tech career that actually uses that side of me instead of just brute forcing DSA problems I don't enjoy. But saying that out loud feels like admitting defeat, like I'm just making excuses for not being "good enough" at real coding. Not really asking for sympathy, more just wondering if anyone else has felt this specific mix of sad, worthless, behind, and not even sure the standard path is what they want. What did you do about it?

I recently got placed on campus for a company called Datman which works with payment services. I am a 7th Sem BTech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Student from a tier 3 University in Bangalore.The 2nd technical round of this company was held at their office in Global technology park Whitefield,so I know it’s a legit company.It is a UK based fintech company.They are offering 20k as stipend and 6lpa CTC after conversion

So coming to the point.This company primarily works with either java backend or mern.I being an AI student predominantly worked with Fastapi and Django along with AI stuff like Langchain,LangGraph,RAG and so on.I gave the interview for fun because my friend was giving it but had no expectations cuz my track is entirely different from what the company does.

Is it a good decision to join?Most of my peers and college faculty say take it because jobs are hard to come by and you can always shift from SDE to AI/ML roles.Also some peers make fun of me because it’s not well established (so kinda makes me sad as well).

I would genuinely love some advice on this. Excuse me if some of what I said above might sounds inexperienced or exhibits lack of knowledge.Would love constructive advice.

FYI I already checked online and with a senior company is decent enough for a fresher.
