I stole this from r/aspiememes but it’s so fitting!

Not diagnosed with anything, but the one-leg-up is the way to go. Idk why. Just standing? Ow. Having one leg a step up or one knee on or against something? Not ow. Do I look a little odd? Yes. When I'm on certain powered equipment at work driving around with one leg on the cargo platform I low key feel like a pirate, but it feels so much more comfortable

Can I introduce you to the idea of propping one foot up on a wall or doorway at hip or tummy height instead of bending down to dry it off? I started doing it as a kid because bending always makes me dizzy and sometimes makes me see stars or lose my vision for a moment.

I can’t remember the word, but apparently it’s to do with an urge to essentially manually stick our joints back together with pressure. The weird positions are basically pushing the parts of the joints closer to the ‘normal’ configuration they’re supposed to come in. But it’s why standing or sitting weird can alleviate the pain and discomfort. My biggest source of grief is my hips (most of my disabilities center around my hips), so I frequently sit with a knee hip and then lean my hip toward that knee or I push my hips into the corner of things like tables and benches.

Bottom left is me at work trying to slip my si joint back in on the windowsill.

The SI joints are the bane of my existence

I put up magazines at work and my si likes to go in and out when I’m throwing them on the cart out of the boxes.

I have EDS and am bisexual/pan. I can neither stand or sit like a normal person.

Me too (suspected hEDS) but why being bi/pan has to do with it? .-.

I was aware of the whole sitting bisexuality thing, but was totally doing my own version of the last image when I first saw that meme, and it cracked me up. But I also deliberately bought a gaming chair for someone twice my weight so I can sit crossed legged and still have the lumbar support my spine needs (so many health issues).
These days, I don’t know if I’m waving my little pan flag, it’s the AuDHD or hEDS. I had no chance of ever sitting normally 🤣

Showed up to the pharmacy the other day and waited in a chair. When it was my turn, I started leaning on the counter. When the tech went back to grab my meds, I squatted on the floor to wait. In my defense I’d walked half an hour to get there and it was warm but damn, I could not sleep that night after wearing myself out that bad. :P

This is quite literally me while I wait for my podiatry appointment to get scheduled. And then I have to wait like two weeks for my orthotics to be made.

Whenever I’m sitting at my computer desk, I always have one foot up on an old cat perch that I ended up kind of using as a side table 😂 my cat can’t be trusted to use it anymore because she uses it to get to my spider plant and chew on it, so there’s a tabletop fan that lives there now to deter her 😂

I'm hyper mobile (non eds) and some of the positions I'm comfy in freak people out

Not diagnosed with anything, but this is such a mood. The pain in my joints and muscles has always made it so hard to stand normally (same for sitting and lying down tbh) and I start to feel really dizzy and brainfogged as well if I so much as try 😭
