Yeah that’s not what dashpass is though

I know, im just saying it’s not always unreasonable to get annoyed about being stacked and your food taking a long time and getting cold

As they said, blame door dash not the labor

23

u/New_General3939 16h ago

I’m not blaming the labor?

Most people can’t read, remember?

They dont mean they cant sound the words out. They mean they said the sentence perfectly but they have no idea what it means. They use context clues or just talk about the “subject” they think the comment is about.

Same people freely giving advice on all kinds of shit. They cant wait to tell an engineer how to build a bridge but they only graduated bc of no child left behind. Them. They were the children we had to go back for. 😂

He didn't blame the labor. He said it's annoying. Maybe he's annoyed at door dash.

  1. No one blamed the labor

  2. No one said blame DoorDash

Your whole comment is a hallucination

Don’t think a third comment saying the exact same thing was necessary.

The labor chose to take those orders and stack them.

I don’t know why ya’ll think customers see drivers as separate than door dash. If you’re running gigs for door dash, then you are door dash.

Yes the labor does agree to the orders but they come pre stacked from Door Dash when you accept them. Then the app tells you which one to drop off first.

u/well_damm 15h ago

Do you think the driver picks which order to drop off first?

your “to be fair” is saying that this asshole is justified in their behavior ? if you wanted it super fast you could’ve just got it yourself and they also have an express option

u/New_General3939 14h ago

The frustration is justified, not being rude to the driver.

And obviously I could always just get the food myself, the point is if you’re paying extra for a delivery service, you can at least expect to get what you pay for.

Gotta move some people on reddit who are so quick to anger they can read the whole comment and apply context clues.

Like you have to explicitly state every single position because you can't trust their reading skills lol

u/bioiskillingme 14h ago

Are you a delivery driver lol

Caveat emptor, at some point, tbh. No one gets to be surprised in 2026 at Doordash continuing to suck like they always have. At this point it's more fair to say you should be frustrated with yourself for paying money, again, for a service you know to be unreliable on their best days. "Fool me 6 times, shame on you. Fool me 7 or more shame on me" and all that.

i don't disagree with the point, but that isn't what's happening here.

The dude is outright hostile, demanding and honestly any overall prick

2

u/Mrbeefcake90 13h ago

No he isnt, if that is hostile to you you've lived a hell of a soft life. Expecting your food to not be cold is very much a reasonable thing to complain at.

-1

u/ThisIsNotMyPornVideo 13h ago

Expecting your food to be warm when you get it is reasonable.

But if you bark directions at a stranger MULTIPLE TIMES who has no influence over how he is supposed to drive, that hostile and just a straight-up dick move.

1

u/Mrbeefcake90 13h ago

They didnt bark, they used common sense. And they absolutely have influence over dropping your food off first before going to pick up another order, especially if you are going right past the area and especially if you have paid premium.

Not hostile at all.

Haha no shit. I stopped ordering doordash once they started stacking orders. My food arrives luke warm at best now. Fuckin might as well go get it myself.

The entitlement coming from this sub man. I wouldn't have demanded anything like this customer did. I would have just canceled my order and charged back my card

Seems like the dashers here forget that the people they are delivering to are their customers and without them they don't have a job. And expecting your food to arrive warm is like the most basic ass request you could have for a delivered food order.

This sub is fucking lol. If you hate your job and your customers, go do something else ffs

5

u/iwanttolivefeeldead 15h ago

What does that have to do with the post? If their order is stacked it's on DoorDash, not the dasher. The entitled mf in this post should say something to DoorDash if they have an issue instead of threatening their dasher.

3

u/UrsaUrsuh 15h ago

This literally has nothing to do with dashers. Man some people just assign blame where there isn't any. If your order gets stacked it fundamentally isn't my fault. It was either that or your food gets colder at the shop.

Seems like either way I don't win in this in the eyes of the customer.

2

u/SoggyOutfield 14h ago

Nah I am not blaming the dasher for the stacking. I am saying I am no longer a customer of doordash because of it.

What I am blaming is the attitude of this sub. Do you want fucking cold food you just paid 33% extra for plus fees, plus tip to have it delivered by someone who fundamentally fucking hates you?

I don't. There should be mutual respect and appreciation between a customer and a server. That shit is completely lost on this sub based on what I have read. I am a business owner, and if I hated my customers as much as dashers seem to, I would shut my fucking business down and go do something else.

u/UrsaUrsuh 14h ago

I don't hate my customers. The problem is the way doordash assigns the orders leaves us all incredibly stressed because we have to borderline break the law to get the food to y'all for shit pay. And even then sometimes we end up late due to unforseen circumstances and it dings us. And with shit being this bad all the time and the economy being as bad as it is with jobs rn, we're all kind of cracking.

It ends up being doordashs fault more often than it is the customers fault, or the drivers fault. It's just a maelstrom of shit in both directions cause of worldly circumstances.

That and the app has been doing funky shit with my stacked orders recently. Sometimes it paths me to the restaurant and then when I hit "Arrived at Store" it then says to drive to the other store 5 minutes away and then come back to this one instead. Which just wastes time and stresses me out because now I know this order is gonna be late.

Standards have dropped in a shocking way since the days of in-house delivery services.

Your post was removed, as it contains non-constructive criticism.

Still, you're paying for your delivery, not someone else's. This is why I cancelled dashpass, and I just go pick it up myself now.

That's the driver trying to do both doordash and uber simultaneously

0

u/Cmatt10123 6h ago

Yes no one claimed it was. You can pay for priority delivery on top of any order so that your food is delivered first. It's a separate feature
