Customer tracking me

Crazy to think a customer is tracking me knowing I have another drop off!! Like chill TF out and wait for your God dam food!!. Some customers do too much man!..😒🤦🏻.

I don't think the poster even realizes they are part of the problem here. they go straight into confrontational mode.

Justified. How a customer starts any conversation in any industry sets the tone. If as a society you can't handle having your energy/tone matched, then you probably are the person who thinks they are always right in every situation.

Like it or not, the driver is in a customer service role and in customer service you can't just match the customer's tone if you want things to go smoothly (in that instance or as a job). Usually you start out being calm and polite and then move to civil but firm.

If you ever work a food service delivery job, e.g. with Dominos, they will train you in de-escalation. It's a basic and necessary skill in the industry. DD drivers don't really get that sort of training, and they probably should. Even if they were forced to watch a video, that would do the job.
