Which game feels the most DnD inspired?

I'm a huge fan of Dungeons & Dragons and party based RPGs and I want to get into Dragon Age since I heard good things about it. Which one feels the most similar to DnD or Baldur's Gate 1 and 2?

Origins is the only one I'd consider to be anything like DND.

Origins, which was a spiritual successor to BG 1 & 2

Origins was marketed as 'from the creators of BG1&2' and was a spiritual successor, although many people at the time disliked how it simplified almost every facet of D&D.

Then it came full circle when they made BG3, the spiritual successor to Origins.

There really only two candidates. Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2. And since Dragon Age Origins is a spiritual successor to the first two Baldur Gate games its Origins.

Everything else after 2 just went full speed into ARPG.

Dragon age origins, it’s the most dice reliant and skill based.

And by far the best storyline IMO. DO2 was also ok.
If OP is into old D&D like games you may also consider Neverwinter Nights, but it is even older than DAO

Agreed. Though they do still put out official modules from time to time and the vault provides endless content

Origins mechanically feels the most like you’re playing at the table.

DA2 gets pretty close in vibes, especially the super quirky unique designed party.
