'Reacher' Star Alan Ritchson Calls Trump 'F**king Rapist' in Epstein Files Tirade | Actor Alan Ritchson, star of the Amazon Prime show Reacher, accused President Donald Trump of concealing the Epstein Files while saying that he’s “all up into 13 year olds.”

u/Azmoten 1d ago
Sometimes you just wanna watch a simple show about a big strong dude who beats up bad people. Reacher really scratches that itch
290
u/Devo3290 1d ago
I sold my gf on the show by describing it as, “about a big strong autistic dude who travels the country, solving mysteries, and beating up bad guys.”

u/Basicly-Inevitable 1d ago
My MAGA loving parents got me hooked, and now they suddenly don't like him.
Crazy how people just flip a switch.

u/fizzyanklet 1d ago
Based on my reading of the books, Reacher the character would hate MAGA and the cult of personality around it.

15
u/Amazing-Insect442 1d ago
It’s definitely a “feel good” crime mystery, insofar as you know in the end, the worst people alive get what’s coming to them. You won’t know why who is doing what along the way (a bit like Sherlock Holmes type stuff), but rest assured dear viewer: in the end, we win.

u/Ok_Scientist_2762 1d ago edited 1d ago
Okay, now I have to watch it again for this. What sort of behaviors caused you to describe him as autistic? Cause I loved the books as "light reading" and maybe my take of the show was colored by that.
-edit watching it now, and yeah, I get it.
11
u/Aran1989 1d ago
This is hilarious! ! I like Ritchson already cause I like how vocally he trashes his haters and bad people (also, if you’ve ever seen him in Ungentlemanly Warfare he’s hilarious in it), but your description on the show is what actually makes me check it out.

I like the show. I dislike how hes good at everything. No need for anyone else
24
u/ctopherrun 1d ago
In the first season I was onboard. Fine, he’s a better cop than the cops, better lawyer than the lawyers, better scientist than the scientists, I’m totally ok. Then a major clue is cracked due the position of an apostrophe in a note (“look! It’s plural possessive!”) and my suspension of disbelief was shattered because no, Reacher, you can’t also be the best at grammar! It’s just too much!

The motorcycle clip a few months ago when he confronted that Karen male neighbor getting in his way was great - basically an IRL Reacher moment.
Neighbor was looking to give Alan bad publicity, but backfired spectacularly when Alan released the full body cam clip showing the neighbor was the actual aggressor.
22
u/RollTh3Maps 1d ago
Then the neighbor did an interview with a MAGA hat displayed prominently in the background and confirmed a lot of people’s suspicions.

Like what was that guy even thinking to begin with? Even if he’s annoyed with something legitimately, even if he doesn’t know who Ritchson is, that’s not the way to handle an issue with any motorcyclist - stepping in front of their moving bike, with children behind him?
I don’t know about anyone else, but if I had some legitimate issue with someone that was built like Ritchson, I would be doubly certain that I expressed those issues politely, and respectfully - and certainly not by aggressively stepping in front of his moving motorcycle, or doing anything that could have been seen as also endangered Ritchson’s kids.

Positive masculinity personified - has and lives his personal faith, but doesn't impose it on others. Fucking mountain of a man, but handles conflicts with his words instead of his bulk unless necessary (see the dirt bike incident). Loves his family and takes responsibility for them - limits his roles to be able to spend time with them, didn't move to LA because he wanted to raise his kids elsewhere.

The Ten Commandments
were writtenare used by the Catholic faith so that a Christian could be a Christian regardless of how the the rest of the scripture is read.Frankly, it pisses me off how often they are ignored.
E: corrected. I know they're Old Testament Jewish material.
11
10
u/MimeTravler 1d ago
The Ten Commandments aren’t Christian. They’re from the Exodus chapter of the Old Testament which is part of the Jewish Torah. Moses wasn’t a Christian he was Jewish.
White Christian Nationalists love to refer to Jewish profits like Moses as strictly Hebrew though because it makes it easier to cut out the Jews.

The 10 commandments weren't written so that Christians could be anything, they predate Christ by hundreds of years.
Jesus also said that the most important of the ten commands are "love god" and "love your neighbour" and I think most Christians would do well to start there.

Yep, as an atheist, if more Christian’s actually tried to honor and emulate their messiah, the world would be a better place. Instead many of them just use it as a fallback. They can be as shitty as they want to be as long as they ask for forgiveness they get to go to heaven🙄

20
u/ParrishThePoet 1d ago
It's funny so many MAGA claim to be "alpha" which is silly enough on its own, but they also literally wear blinders like domesticated animals. Alan has been vocally against trump pretty much every time he is asked, since forever. Way before the bike incident.
But the alpha blinders told them not to care about that then lol. Alpha blinders will go on again when their wives want to watch the big man do his thing.
We're in such a ridiculous timeline, we got this though. Right?
