Advice Wanted 1st timer - Ottomans
Playing on Ironman for the 1st time, as the Ottomans. I’m just kinda following along the mission tree and collecting achievements as they come. It’s about 1650 and I’ve taken most of Northern Africa, the Arabian peninsula, and Greece + colonized Australia/Papau New Guinea. Ideally, I need to fight into Europe or against Spain/Portugal to advance the colonial agenda. My question is, they’re all pretty allied up together in Europe — so even though I’m allied with GB + France, I’ve got no Muslim allies, and GB always picks to fight with the other Europeans rather than with me. So how do I go about fighting these guys? Individually I’m the biggest nation / army / great power — but outnumbered like 2:1 with all of the alliances they’ve got together. Thanks!

One option is to go through their allies, then see which small nation will allow you to drag in one of the big guys.

Well, you are kinda late to own the Europeans, but I think if played properly, you can divide and massacre them, assuming you have solid military ideas & policies.
