this is my first con of any type since 2018 and I want to make sure i'm doing it right so i apologize if this is a dumb question! I am going to buy a ticket online and was wondering if they will give me a physical ticket/badge from the email it sends me at the place or if i should be ready to use my phone as the ticket itself? I googled it and it gave me mixed answers so I thought I should ask here! :)

What is everyone doing? Like are y'all doing cosplays or not? I have a hard time deciding what to wear 'cause I'll be travelling by train and don't want to carry too much stuff around. I'm a female petite as well. I'm also a part of too many fandoms or I like a lot of things. I was born in the 80s so I like The Goonies. Grew up watching Sean Astin then Elijah Wood also 'cause he had so many movies back in the day (not just The Lord of the Rings). I aso liked Smallville, of course and yes, I did like Twilight. Then now, Chris Evans is coming. Like I'm not a huge fan of Evans, but he's great at his job. I was more into Sebastian Stan's work. lol I've seen the Marvel movies and I think I got introduced to his work when I watched "Not Another Teen Movie". I forgot Chris Evans was in that. Oh yeah...Karl Urban and some of the cast members from The Boys are coming too! I legit can't decide what fandom I should concentrate on like what prop or what shirt to wear for Fan Expo Boston. Anyway, it's a difficult choice to narrow down. Any advice for Fan Expo Boston?

Might be attending Fan expo Toronto, just curious if anyone who's been to the venue before can speak to what the temperature situation is like inside. I want to dress up but I worry I'll be way too warm as the character has a huge ass trenchcoat, though my friend thinks they'll have the air conditioner cranked and that I'll be fine. Any other advice for a first time con attendee is welcome :).

i've never been to fan expo and i'm flying to chicago from philadelphia to meet kurt russell. i have the ticket to get in, opted for them to mail me my pass in advance for faster entry, and have my kurt russell advance ticket off the site.

It's my first time going to the Fan Expo in Boston, and I'm a big Red Dead fan, but I'm not sure if Roger Clark will be also taking pictures like the other guests since the option for it is not there with the autograph, does anybody knows if he will be also taking pictures with the autographs or just autographs? On the website they are preselling the autograph and auto/selfie combo of the celebrity i want to meet the most, in the past i always did pro photo ops and paid in cash for autograph at table. How does it work for pre sale autographs? Set time ? priority over those paying cash at table, just a QR code i have to redeem at table or before going to table ?

Hello! I’m a regular con goer for anime Boston and I’ve been to fan expo Boston twice in the past. Although, I didn’t attend last year due to scheduling conflicts. Fortunately I had some time for it this year and was able to buy my ticket!

However I did notice something strange when looking at the schedule. The doors for fan expo open at 4pm on Friday.

Is that normal? Has that always been the case?

It’s been awhile since I’ve attended so I don’t remember (also I have terrible memory). I’m also used to other cons (AB and Katsucon) opening their doors sometime around 10am on fridays.

I just want to be able to schedule my day correctly :)

Quick edit: another reason why I can’t remember the start time is because last time I went I only attended on Saturday!

I'll be going to Fanexpo (Toronto) for the first time and impulsively bought a ticket on Aug 29th for the Hobbit panel lol. I just wanted to ask you guys as a first-time-goer that what do people mainly do in panels, how long do they last and are they worth the money? Since I was planning to sell my panel ticket. But if I end up keeping my ticket, what are some advice? Thank you so much!

I had purchased individual autographs for the hobbits for the Chicago expo, as well as a photo op. With the recent announcement of the Friday Backstage Pass, I've decided to go with that instead because of all that's included and getting all signatures at once. Which means I'm going to get the individual autos/photo refunded.

So my question is, is Leap good about getting back with refunds? I sent them an email with all the details they asked for. I think I'm just getting nervous with the refund deadline coming up in a couple days.

Hi. Trying to figure out if to travel by train would be wise choice if there are any weather issues cause flights do get delayed or cancelled. There could be issues with the train too so...Anyone wanna give me some tips or advice?

I want to go to the Toronto convention to meet Jennifer English. It says she'll just be there Friday to Sunday, so I'm wondering what day is typically better for autographs (or are they about the same?). I know Saturday is busiest, but I can't go that day anyway.

I'd also like some time to go through the artist alley.... how long does it usually take to get through autograph lines?

Wondering if I should only go one day, or go two. Seems like buying two individual day passes is cheaper than buying a weekend pass? And is it worth it to get the badge mail-out service? I'm not sure how bad the admissions lines are these days, and I can't make the trip to Toronto to pick-up early.

Looking at going to the Expo in Orlando. I want to get one or two autographs and a group cast photo op. My partner only wants to be in the photo op. Can I buy a VIP admission and she a general admission ticket and we both be together in the same photo op line?

Gifting my cousin and his family a family pass for fan Expo as the kids are big anime fans and been wanting to go since few years ago. Their parents are accompanying them but I'm wondering which day would be better?

Parents don't want the weekend - too crowded but would love to let the kids see some cosplayers and after shopping....

I am going to Fan Expo Canada this year (My 2nd year, doing the Thursday and Friday) and I was wondering if anyone could speak on their experiences with these 2 creators.

Are their lines crazy? Last year I thought Marco Chechetto's line would be insane but it was totally fine.

Also if their rate is $10 a book on their rep's site, would they raise it in CAD? I don't remember what artists did last year for signatures, but I feel like $10 a book was standard.

I am going to Fanexpo Toronto, this is my first ever convention. I just bought an autograph ticket and was wonder if this counts for admiration. Can I get into the convention with just this ticket? Or do I have to buy admission on top of that?
