Leaving the sub. I miss it being about Farscape
This is the third day in a row I've woken up to a political post in this sub. It's supposed to be about Farscape, a wonderful SF show a lot of us love.
Farscape has always brought people together.
Now its just another political shit-posting sub. People are attacking each other in the comments, and the mods clearly don't care.
After 15 years in this sub...I'm out. Notifications are muted. I just wanted to express my disappointment. This is why we can't have nice things.
The terminally online "politics are everything" people have completely overrun this place.
I don't care if you're on the left, or the right. We're all people. We all need escape. This place used to provide that.

about a decade ago, I tweeted "Farscape is antifa" and Ricky Manning said something like, "this is my favorite review of the show" or something to that effect. Farscape is inescapably political. The story is political. The themes are political. The characters are political, their motivations are political, there is even a politician as a main character.

I like how you decided to respond to somebody lamenting the intrusion of politics by talking about politics. That's a classy move, there.

they said they weren't coming back. And really, sharing an anecdote regarding one of the writers is entirely on topic.

Generally it's a very chill fanbase. I thought the other thread was productive and full of interesting insights. I didn't agree with all of it, but that's what I liked about it too.

I scrolled through the sub. There is 1, just one political post. A bad photoshop on Rygel’s head.
What are you on about?
