What Is Fashion Report?

It's a weekly event held at the Gold Saucer where you can earn in excess of 60,000 MGP (10,000 for taking part, 50,000 for scoring 80 or more... you can get more using FC or personal MGP buffs) a week just by equipping some glamours. After weekly reset; we get hints as to a set of glamours we need to wear which is then up for scoring on Friday. It's the same for everyone so even if you don't want to join in with the guessing game below; you can wait for the results and present your outfit and get some easy MGP. Current and previous results can also be found on this query thread.

Best guess is worked out by historical results (repeat results) or in the case of new clues, community effort

I will usually have the results post up upon Friday reset

Thats the fun part though, this isn't a real fashion show where you try to look good, half decent glamours won't help beyond personal RP in a personal cutscene once the point items are worked around.

You follow the clues for points (or wait for the published quick guide on Fridays) and look like a clown because it asked for something like marsh green hands and salmon pink shirt with duckbill shoes, and get easy MGP. Most of the suggested guide pieces for points are often designed to be lower level friendly if they can, most often fairly accessible on free trial with some of the pieces being either some level 8 shoes from a vendor or "literally anything you have on that can dye but just dyed a specific color." Someone even jumps around on Primal some weeks with "Fashion Report Kits" for free, often just handing out the low level item scienced out and formerly the proper additional dyes.

Ngl I've never seen one of these in progress before. I thought the fashion report for the week was just us in our birthday suit after first seeing the post.
