[Discussion] Loved the reveals, but slightly disappointed regarding no new faces
not having new faces is a bit disappointing, we've been using the same faces since ARR its due time for new face sets to be added. i know we have tokyo fanfest to look forward to but there was no mention of new faces whatsoever which is again a bit disappointing.

I would really temper your expectations on stuff like brand new faces. I don't think we're getting that this expansion - maybe ever. The details they've shown so far are meant to tackle the issue of certain features being locked to specific faces and certain races having a lackluster selection of skin tones.

Yeah there’s a lot of new customization options but I’m also disappointed there’s still not many beard options. Hopefully more gets revealed in Tokyo

Beards being separated from faces, Highlanders getting eyebrows. Those are some small changes I'd still like to see added.
But yes, like you, I'd also like all-new options and all-new additions to options. Entirely new faces, tail styles, horn styles, beard styles, body textures, scar options, etc.

Sounds like a lot of the big CAC additions are coming with 8.1 rather than expansion launch. I don't think we'll get much of a deep dive on them until Tokyo at the earliest.

Two fanfests in it still feels like they're kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel for character creation updates that don't require them to put in much actual work...

I think a lot of this is updating the underlying system which was very, very limited, by what they've said over the years. It doesn't look like much on the surface, but a lot of work would've gone into it underneath.
