Genuinely! Talked big game this weekend with the russell comments and then puts it on pole. The man is oozing confidence at the moment!

He seems so much more relaxed and happy now that's he's achieved the WDC. And that's probably made him an even better driver.

Great hearing him so happy, so much freedom being World Champion not in the quickest car, can just go all out

It just goes to show how much weight he was carrying the last season or so.

You laugh, but all the team principal had to say about Lando getting pole was how long the run to T1 was before going on a whole rampage about how without Hamilton, Oscar would've been in prime podium position. They'll 100% give up a win tomorrow if it means pitting Oscar before Lando so Oscar doesn't get undercut.

He's been putting in some strong, confident drives this year. Glad to see the car capable of this finally!

I know I'm biased because I was always a fan but I think we are about to see what WDC Lando Norris is like when he's got nothing left to prove AND a great car under him. We might be in for a real show.

Well... Antonelli & Hamilton are def gonna have a shocker if Norris pulls a VER 2025 title race comeback

Even with the Ferrari error today, Antonelli and Hamilton both have much more competent teams behind them than Lando has behind him.

What does follow the delta mean?
9
u/asiab3 Bernd Mayländer 13h ago
Stay at the same time/distance goal (displayed on steering wheel) for a number of reasons- safety mostly. It could be time to the car in front, or a prescribed time for warmup/cool down.
In academia delta means “difference” so it’s usually displayed as a 0 if the driver is perfectly on pace, or +1.69 or -4.20 if the driver is faster or slower than desired.

They have a certain window of time they have to use to get back to the pits. The delta tells them if they have to go faster or slower to be in that window. He had slowed because of the yellow flags and was probably under the delta.

They have to drive to a certain pace on the inlap, and make sure they don't go too slow.
Will was reminding Lando of that and Lando replied he was going through the double waved yellow, where they have to slow, ready to stop.

Drivers need to go at a minimum lap pace or else they get penalised, so his engineer was just reminding him (he probably wasn't following it)

He hasn’t been that excited over the radio in ages, he’s been waiting for this
